Essie Mojito Madness

Hi Everyone and Happy Tuesday!  Today I have the brand new Essie Mojito Madness.  This is just the coolest green polish.  The formula was pretty good.  The pictures are two coats of MM with no topcoat.  I know I usually have topcoat on but I added CND Ice Blue Shimmer to this shortly after these photos.  Unfortunately I have no photos of the mani with shimmer.  Oops, sorry!  This polish wore really well for me.

So do you plan to get any of the new summer Essie collection?  I'm still debating on the orange.  Talk with you soon.

Zoya Wednesday and CND Violet Shimmer

Yay it's Friday!  I have the coolest manicure to show you guys today.  My combo today is Zoya Wednesday and CND Violet Shimmer (I keep trying to type violent shimmer haha).  I'm so in love with this it's ridiculous.  I will be wearing this again and again, on my finger and toes.  This is two coats of Zoya Wednesday, a green leaning dusty turquoise.  A gorgeous color, with a gorgeous formula.  Then I added a coat of CND Violet Shimmer.  The result is amazing!  I think it's reminiscent of another expensive polish, but I'll let you be the judge of that.  All the pictures today were taken in the sun.  Take a look!

This last picture is Wednesday by itself.  Two coats no topcoat.  I can't wait to wear this again.  Does everyone love the CND shimmers as much as I do?  They are amazing.  I kinda want to put them on everything.  Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Once Upon a Polish King Triton

Hello my fellow lacquer lovers!  Today I have a really cool glitter to show you.  This is Once Upon a Polish King Triton.  I decided to layer King Triton over China Glaze Wagon Trail and Fast Track.  I wanted to be able to see it over a dark color and a light color.  All fingers except my middle one, have two coats of King Triton.  My middle finger has one coat.  King Triton has gold hex glitter, holographic gold bar glitter and fine gold and teal glitter.  It covers really well.  My favorite is the one layer over Wagon Trail.  You can find King Triton and a whole bunch of other cool polishes at the Once Upon a Polish Etsy store.  You can follow Once Upon a Polish on fb here, to make sure you know when the Etsy store opens.  I believe the store should be opening tomorrow but not 100% sure on that.

So what are you still doing here?  Go check out Once Upon a Polish right now.  Take care!

Once Upon a Polish Cinderella

Sun

Good morning!  Did you all have a great weekend?  Mine was good.  Lots of family time, which I love.  Today I have a really cool indie polish to share with you.  This is Cinderella by Once Upon a Polish.  Cinderella is a super cool blue/green duochrome with holographic glitter in it.  It was opaque for me in three coats.  The formula was super easy to use and hardly any clean up.  I really think some of the bigger companies could learn something about formulas from these indie polish makers.  Some of the photos make the polish look a tad gritty but in real life it didn't feel or look that way at all.  This is three coats of Cinderella on all fingers except my ring finger.  The ring finger is one coat of Cinderella over black.  I was just curious what it would look like.

Sun, this one shows the sparkle really well

This polish really gives me the feeling of Cinderella's dress.  I just love it so much.  Click here to check out Once Upon a Polish's etsy shop and here to check out the fb page.  I can't wait to get my hands on a few more of these.  Until next time...

Shop My Stash Sunday~ Zoya Dove

Sun

I have a quick Shop My Stash post for you today.  I used Zoya Dove in my last post as underwear for my E=MC^2 mani.  The pictures show two coats of Dove with no topcoat.  This is a gorgeous light gray cream.  Great Zoya formula like usual.  It looks a little uneven in the sun shot but topcoat would take care of that.  I've actually worn this color several times.  It makes a great base for newspaper manicures.

Shade

Are you a Zoya lover too?  What's your favorite Zoya color?

Elemental Styles E=MC^2

Sun
Yay it's Friday!  Does anyone have any good plans for the weekend?  We are taking my son and some friends to the movies tomorrow for his birthday.  Should be fun!  So today I have a super cool polish to show you.  This is one coat of 99 E=MC^2 from Elemental Styles over two coats of Zoya Dove.  Elemental Styles is an Etsy shop.  Whitney, the polish maker, is super nice.  I was ordering another polish from her and really wanted this one too.  So I sent her an email and she made one up for me.  Now I wish I had asked for a full size instead of a mini.  Click the link to go check out her shop.

E=MC^2 is a light grey base with all sorts of black and silver glitters.  I want to conserve my little bottle so I layered it over Dove.  This is just one coat and look at all that glitter.  Most polishes like this are so much work but not this one.  This is one mani that I don't ever want to take off.  Take a look.

I'm so in love with this polish it ridiculous!  I have a few more polishes from Elemental Styles to try out.  I can't wait!  So I want to know, what is your favorite indie maker and polish?

Have a great day!

Zoya Myrta and Zuza

Sun

Good morning lovelies!  The other day I needed a distraction and what's better than doing a new mani?  Nothing!  So I pulled out Zoya Myrta, Zuza and some striping tape.  Myrta is from Zoya's new Surf collection.  The formula was amazing!  Super easy and minimal clean up.  This is two coats.  The sun pictures make it look like there was some VNL but really you couldn't see it.  Then I used striping tape (you can get this super cheap on ebay) to make some lines.  Two quick coats of Zuza and I was done.

Shade

Sun
I've done striping tape manicures before but I loved this one so much.  I kept shoving it in peoples faces saying look at this!  Myrta shocked me.  I wasn't expecting to love it this much.  BTW I did a similar tape pedi using Meg and Carly from the same collection.  Looks awesome!  Have a great Wednesday!  Talk to you soon.

Product Reviews from KKcenterHK

Hi and Happy Monday!  Today I have a review of two stamping plates and some water nail decals that I received from KKcenterHK.com.  I picked two images off each plate, SPPMB38 and SPPMB32.  I used WnW Black Creme and Konad Special Polish White to stamp over my existing Orly Frisky mani.  The images all came out pretty well.  The splatter image from B38 worked the best.  The little guys from B32 are missing a few spots but that was probably just me.  I can see myself using the splatter image a lot.  I was getting ready to do a pedicure with Zoya Carly and Meg so I tried them out for stamping on my thumb with the splatter image.  I freakin love it.  Carly stamps amazingly well.

Next up I have some more of their awesome water nail decals.  I showed you the star ones here.  Today I have some black and white flower decals, WDBLE899.  Again these are done on top of my Orly Frisky mani.  These are super easy to use, although I do wish they came with some directions.  I checked out a few youtube videos and they helped me out.  Basically cut out the section you want to use, put it in a little bowl of water for a few seconds then place it on your nail.  I love the water decals instead of stickers because they leave some room for error.  You can move them around a bit on the nail for great placement.

All in all I've had great success with the products I've received from KKcenterHK.com.  They are having a sale during the month of May for 25% off.  If you order any other time and use the code mylifeinpolish you'll get 10%, through 1/21/2013.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Deborah Lippmann Sweet Dreams

Hey Everyone!  Today I've scheduled a post for you because when this goes up I will be having a CT scan of my brain.  We're tying to figure out what's causing the chronic, daily headaches as well as a few other things.  Anyhow, today's polish is a gorgeous pink jelly with flakies.  This is the first flakie that I've put on and been instantly in love with.  Normally it takes me a bit to warm up to them.  This is three coats.  I had read that some thought the formula of Sweet Dreams was super thick and a pain.  I'm happy to say that was not the case for me.  Yes it is a tad thicker than regular polish but most flakies are.  The top picture shows VNL but honestly in real life you couldn't really see it.  The two shade pictures show how it looked most of the time.  I didn't used to like pinks much but lately I just can't get enough of them.

I only own two DL's, this and Mermaids Dream.  What's your favorite Lippmann?  I hope you all have a great Thursday.

Zoya Reva

Sun

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  Quick post about a gorgeous polish today.  This is Zoya Reva.  She's so pretty and sparkly.  I avoided getting Reva for the longest time and now I'm not sure why.  In the sun Reva looked very pink, like berry pink.  In the shade or inside she looked red to me.  This is two easy coats of the Zoya formula we've all come to love.

Shade
Reva completed last summer's Sunshine collection for me.  It's the only full Zoya collection I own other than the pretty Sparkle collection.  Do you have a favorite from Sunshine?

Have a great day!

Butter London Dosh

Sun

Today I have the pretty Butter London Dosh to show you.  This is only the second BL I've ever worn.    This is an amazing, weird, slightly yellow tinted green.  It's got an amazing shimmer to it.  I love that it's yellow tinted but just a bit, not enough to make my ginger skin look gross.  This is two coats of BL's amazing formula.

Shade
So is Dosh a color you would wear?  What is your favorite Butter London shade?  Have a great day!

Inglot 990 and Cover Band Sticks n Stones

Sun
Good morning and happy Friday!  Does anyone have any cool plans for this weekend?  I'm not doing much.  The boys have baseball on Saturday morning then we get to clean the house.  Woohoo!  Just kidding :)  So today I have one of the new Inglot polishes to show you.  Recently Mr. MyLifeinPolish went to Las Vegas for a conference.  He hit up the Inglot store for me and brought back three new polishes.  He's a keeper!  990 is really similar in color to Zoya Breezi but it looks a tad squishier.  I really like it a lot.  This is two coats.  If I hadn't been covering it with glitter it would have needed either a third coat or for me to be more careful with the second.  It was opaque in two but I had a bald spot or two.

Shade
I have never really wanted Sticks 'n Stones but when I had to opportunity to swap for it I said why not.  I'm not usually a fan of bar glitter at all.  However I was totally surprised when I put this on and fell in love.  This polish is so cool!  It's super thick but you get plenty of glitter in just one coat.  As you can see I need some practice to keep it from clumping up at the end of my nail (see my middle finger).  So cool though!  Everyone needs this in their life.  You can buy SnS from Ninja Polish.  Take a look.

Shade
I hope you like this as much as I do.  Have a great weekend!
