Zoya Amy

Sun

Good afternoon lovlies!  Quick post for you today as I'm busy stressing out over my husbands car not starting yesterday.  This is Zoya Amy from their new summer collection.  This is a great bright orange filled with gold shimmer.  I love a good foil finish.  After glass fleck finishes, foil is my next favorite.  Honestly these are very glass fleck like.  This is two coats of Amy and topcoat.  It has a good formula just like you'd expect from Zoya.

Shade
Amy is bright, colorful and sparkly.  Perfect for summer.  I don't own another polish that looks like this.  China Glaze Riveting is probably the closest.  Are you an orange wearer or is it just not for you?

Have a great day!

Sara

*I'm very proud of the restraint I showed in waiting to pick this up from Zoya's Earth Day sale using Mr. MLiP's money of course.*

D&R Apothecary Strawberry Daiquiri

Hello!  Today for your viewing pleasure I have an indie brand that I just can't resist.  D&R Apothecary makes some of the most amazing, high quality glitter polishes.  At one point D&R polishes were called Hit Polish then she switched the name back to D&R.  Under either name the polishes have always been great.  Now before you start thinking that I got these for review and I'm just saying this, I bought this and a whole bunch of other polishes from this maker myself over the last year or so.  She has amazing sales that I just can't help but throw money at.  Anyway, today I have Strawberry Daiquiri to show you.    This is a pink and gold glitter bomb in a sheer pink base.  I layered one coat over Zoya Gie Gie.  Check out that glitter payoff.  No fishing or placing going on here.

It wasn't cloudy or sunny when I took these photos.  It was somewhere in between.  I'm not usually one for girly pink manis but this one was lovely.  It was just what I needed after wearing all the teal polishes.  Seriously you guys, I have a teal problem.  I suppose that's foder for another post.  If you'd like to check out D&R click here for the etsy shop (there's a sale going on through Fri 5/31) and click here for her facebook page.  I hope you all have a great day.

Until next time...

Sara

*I purchased this polish myself.  This maker's etsy shop sucks all my will power and I'm always ordering something.  I should probably stop looking at it.  Nah...I like my pretty sparkly nails too much.*

Shimmer Polish Sarah

Shade
Happy Sunday folks!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  My oldest son treated us and his Papa to a movie this afternoon.  We went to see Iron Man 3.  It was pretty good considering I haven't seen Iron Man 2 yet.  Plus they showed a trailer for Catching Fire!  Super excited for that one.  Any way tonight I have a mani that I adored in real life but I'm not sure my pictures show it off the best.  I wore this mani to one of my little sister's high school graduation.  It gave me something sparkly to look at while we waited in the sun for over an hour.  This is China Glaze Aquadelic with a quick gradient (sort of) using Shimmer Polish Sarah.  I told you a while back I won a Shimmer giveaway and she sent some others along for review.  This is definitely the one I was most excited for and it didn't let me down at all.

Sun

The formula of these glitter bombs is so amazing.  I wish all glitter polishes (indie or big brand) were this amazing.  Another big bonus is all the Shimmer polishes I've tried so far have been simple to remove as well.

Sun

Shade
I wish you could better see the purple and bigger blue glitters in these photos.  This mani was so much fun to wear and I will definitely be wearing this again.  If you'd like to check out Shimmer for yourself click here to go over to the etsy shop.  Give her a like on facebook here to keep up to date on all the latest Shimmer news.  I hope you all like this as much as I did.  Have a great evening and enjoy your long weekend if you've got it.

Sara

*The Shimmer was provided to me in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are mine.  My opinion is you need to buy this :) *

Ninja Polish Mystic Glacier

Shade

Hey all!  Today's polish is one that I thought for sure I was going to love.  Once I put it on though I had mixed feelings about it.  This is Ninja Polish Mystic Glacier.  What you see here is three coats and topcoat.  It kinda stinks that I still had VNL after three coats.  The VNL was pretty visible in the sun and not too bad inside.  The formula was good and easy to control.  It dried with kinda a satiny finish so it needed a good topcoat to be shiny.

Sun

Sun

Shade
This shows the VNL a bit better
I think I would love this polish if I didn't have the VNL.  Maybe next time I need to layer it over a nude polish or maybe a ridge filler base coat?  Not sure.  It definitely deserves a second chance.  It's funny to me that I thought I'd love this one and only kinda like Pacific Coral (here) but it's totally the other way around.  Does that ever happen to you guys?  Have a great night!

Until next time...

Sara

*I bought this polish myself.  I just can't stay away from Ninja Polish.  I should just have my paycheck direct deposited to them.*

Zoya Thandie

Hello!  Today I have a Zoya polish that I almost passed up on thinking it was just another orange.  I'm happy to say that I went ahead and got it (obviously) and it's not just any old orange.  This beauty is Zoya Thandie from the new summer collection.  Thandie is a gorgeous creamy orange that dries slightly darker than in the bottle.  It's a very nice bright color without being a neon.  This is three coats of Thandie with topcoat.  My accent nail is Above the Curve Sunset Skies, an orange jelly base with glitters in it.

I'm quite in love with this orange.  It's just so lovely.  Have you picked up any polishes lately that you were undecided on but ended up loving?  I hope you all have a lovely Thursday.  I'm off to go watch my sisters graduate high school tonight.  Sadly they are at two different schools so our family had to split up between the two grad ceremonies.

Sara

*I purchased this polish myself during the Zoya Earth Day promo.  I needed a sixth polish to complete my order and Thandie was it.*

Julep Shenae

Sun
Hello!  Quickie post for you today showing Julep Shenae.  I'm obsessed with mints, all mints.  This mint has a very pretty shimmer that shows in the right light.  You can't see the shimmer inside but I do think it helps give this polish some depth.  I believe this is two coats but I wore this a while ago and honestly I'm not sure.  Sorry about that :)

Shade
What is your favorite mint polish?  This one and Zoya Neely are both at the top of my list.  I hope you all have a fantastic day.

Sara

*I skipped my Maven box the month this came out but a lovely polish friend was kind enough to add this on to hers and feed my mint colored obsession.*

Shimmer Polish Jennifer and Karen

PR Sample (sort of)

Sun
Good morning!  A few weeks ago I won part of a massive giveaway from Shimmer Polish.  Along with the polish I won she sent some for review as well.  So that's why I said PR Sample sort of.  Anyway today I have two Shimmer Polishes to show you.  First up is Jennifer.  I believe Jennifer could be built up and worn on it's own but since it's in a clear base I decided to layer it over Candeo Laman Brisa.  This is one coat of Jennifer.  I can't even believe how much glitter I got in one coat!  Seriously you guys the application is amazing.

Sun
Shade

My favorite photo is the shade picture.  It really shows off the gorgeous glitters.  Next up is Shimmer Karen.  Again the formula and application are outstanding.  Honestly, I wouldn't lie to you.  This is two coats of Karen over Sation Lollipop Goes the Princess.

This was my first experience with Shimmer Polish.  I have a few more to show you soon.  If they are all this good I will be buying so many.  I've never owned a glitter polish that behaved this well.    Take a look at Shimmer's etsy shop here.  There are so many cool color combos.  If you click here it will take you over to Shimmer's facebook page where you can keep up to date on all the latest happenings.  What are your favorite Shimmer polishes?  I'd love to know what you recommend so I can check them out.

Until next time lovelies...

Sara

* The Shimmer polishes were sent to me in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are mine.  My opinion is these rock and you should own at least one or seven.*

Barielle Summer Brights

*PR Sample

Hello!  Today I have four of the five Barielle Summer Brights collection for you.  I'm missing the yellow, I have no idea where my pictures went.  There is one new polish in this collection and four repromotes.  Let's start with Blue Capri, the new polish.  It's a gorgeous blue, although not super unique, with a great formula.  Went on in two coats and was perfectly opaque.  I added dots using Lemondrops and Cosmic Kiss but that didn't work out so well.  Neither of them was thick enough to retain their color over the blue so they are very muted.

Sun

Shade

Next up is Pink Flip Flops.  A bright baby pink.  The formula was okay.  It took three coats to be streak free and opaque.  I like the color but don't own many pinks in this color range so I'm happy to have it.

Sun

Shade

Sweet Addiction is a very pretty dusty green.  I thought it was a great color.  Mr. MLiP thought it was a little boring.  Seems he thinks my nails should always be super bright and sparkly haha.  This is two coats with topcoat.  I used Pink Flip Flops and striping tape to do the accent nail.

Sun

Shade

Lastly I have Cosmic Kiss for you.  I love how squishy Cosmic Kiss is.  This is two coats and it was perfect.
Sun

Shade
There is supposed to be a yellow in this collection called Lemondrops but I don't have photos of it right now for some reason.  Overall I like this collection.  The colors may not be super unique but the formula and application makes them a good choice.  Plus I don't own many pinks so these fill a hole in my collection.  You can purchase Barielle here and follow them on facebook here.

Until next time my dears...

*I received these polishes from the pr company in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are mine and mine alone.*

Ninja Polish Pacific Coral

Hello!  I have an amazing polish to show you today.  Fair warning there are way more pics than normal today.  This is Ninja Polish Pacific Coral.  I ordered this and Mystic Glacier together and that one is amazing too.  I'll have it up soon for you.  Pacific Coral has the most amazing formula.  This is two coats and it was perfectly even and opaque.

Shade
It's amazing right?  This is going to make the most amazing pedi color this summer.  I really don't have enough words to describe the awesomeness of Pacific Coral.  Did you pick this up?  Do you have any other Ninja polishes that you would recommend to me?

Happy Thursday!

Sara

*I paid for this polish myself.  I had money burning a hole in my paypal and couldn't resist.*

Catrice Petrolpolitan

Hi lovelies!  Today I have a quick post for you showing Catrice Petrolpolitan.  I saw this polish on a blog and knew I needed to have it.  Luckily I have an awesome swap buddy in the Netherlands and she tracked down a few pretties for me.  Catrice is about to get easier to get though as I believe Ninja Polish is going to be carrying it.  I don't know about this specific one but they will have some.

This is two coats and the formula was really good.  Topcoat made this super shiny.  I hope you all have a great day.

Until next time,

Sara

*This polish traveled across the world to come live with me in exchange for me sending some other very pretty polishes to their new home in the Netherlands.*
