Jessica Electric Teal

*Purchased by me*

Hello!  Tonight I'd like to introduce you to my new favorite teal polish.  That's right China Glaze Turned up Turquoise has been knocked down a notch buy Jessica Electric Teal.  I put this on and seriously had no words.  This is two coats plus topcoat.  Look at that shimmery goodness!  Now look at it again!  It's so pretty.  My accent nail is a base color of Essie Sunday Funday and then I used the lightening bolt shape from Nail Vinyls.  Another coat of Electric Teal then topcoated it all.  Super fun mani for sure.  Both pictures were taken in the sun to show off all that shimmering goodness.

Are you a teal junkie like I am?  If so what's your favorite teal polish?  I hope you all have a great night.

Until next time...

Shimmer Polish Bernice and Natalie

*Press Sample
Shade
Hello my loves!  A while back I was a winner in a Shimmer Polish giveaway.  Along with the winnings she was awesome enough to send some extra polishes for review.  So I'll have a few posts coming up showing off a few Shimmer Polish beauties each time.  Up first I have Bernice, a dark tinted base with black, silver, blue and teal glitters.  Oh how I swooned when I first saw this one.  Love, love, love this!  I layered it over China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (and yes the formula on that one still sucks).  My pictures show just one coat and look at all that glitter.  This would definitely build up to be opaque on its own.  As usual with Shimmer the formula was spot on.  All the glitter is laying flat and smooth.  I did top this with a coat of Revlon Colorstay Gel topcoat and then a coat of Glossy Glam to finish it off.

Next up is Shimmer Natalie, blue, copper and turquoise glitter in a slightly tinted base.  I picked China Glaze At Vase Value (quite possibly the worst formula polish I've ever used) because I thought Natalie had a clear base.  Turns out it's a bit tinted so it changed the base color a bit but still looked really amazing.  This is one coat of Natalie topped with Glossy Glam topcoat.  Again the formula is just amazing.  It applied just like Bernice and every other Shimmer I've tried.

So what do you think?  Shimmer Polish is seriously one of the best indies I've used.  Super consistent with great customer service.  You can check out all Shimmer has to offer on etsy by clicking here and give them a like over on facebook.

Until next time...

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Jazzy Jade

*Press Sample

Hey all!  Tonight I have another review from the box of goodies I got from Sally Hansen.  You all know by now that I am a huge sucker for a teal polish.  This one is no exception.  Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Jazzy Jade is a teal shimmer that took three coats to be opaque and even.  The formula was a bit weird on this one.  Was more sheer that I anticipated but look at the pretty shimmer.  It's so pretty.  My accent nail is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Perky Pink, a sheer pink base with glitter, layered over Barielle Pink Flip Flops, a light pink creme.  Perky Pink is not a polish to wear on it's own.  Both photos were taken is slightly overcast conditions.

You can stay up-to-date with all that Sally Hansen is up to on facebook here.  I hope you all have a great night (or day, depending on when you read this).

Until next time...

NOTD by NailNation 3000

*All purchased by me.*

Hello!  I'm super stoked to share this nail of the day.  Mr. MLiP and I don't really do Valentines Day stuff but he bought himself something and told me to go buy myself something, so I did.  I went to the nail supply shop and picked up three new NailNation polishes.  Today I have two of them for you.  The bright green is Like, Totally.  It has a holo effect and took three coats to be opaque and even.  The blue (although in a lot of light situations it looks gray) is In Memoriam.  It is holo as well and covered in two coats.  The formula on this one was a tad thick but nothing to hard to work with.  I made the chevron pattern using the skinny skinny chevrons from Nail Vinyls.  If you guys haven't heard of these or tried them out run and do it right now.  So easy to use and they make nail art so easy.

So what do you think of this?  Is two accent nails too much for you?  This is probably one of my favorites ever.  I'm loving the dark color with the super bright color.  You can find NailNation on facebook here and Nail Vinyls here.

Until next time...

Polish Addict Nail Color Violets are Blue

Sun

Hey all!  Happy Valentines Day.  So this is about as close to a Valentines theme mani as I'll get.  I actually wore this mani last week for six days.  That must be some sort of record.  It honestly had very little chipping and tip wear for being worn that long.  So today we have Polish Addict Nail Color (PANC) Violets are Blue with a Roses are Red accent nail.  I used three coats of each polish plus topcoat.  Best part of this pretty glitter polish?  It's a thermal!  My very first one.  It is darker while cold then lightens up as it warms up.  So freakin cool!  I decided to add a heart using a red cream so I would have a Vday mani to post today.  I used NailVinyls heart shape for the guide.  They are the best, easiest way to make shapes or lines and what not.

The glitter combo in Violets are Blue is really unique.  I knew when I saw the teaser pics I was going to order it right away.  If I was going to wear a mani for 6 days I'm glad it was this one.  You guys can check out PANC on facebook and here is the shop.

Until next time...

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Sordid End

Sun

Hey everyone!  I debated for a bit wether or not to post this polish.  This may be my new favorite polish.  It's a recently released polish from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer but it's sold out and is not going to be restocked.  In the end I decided to post it because I'm just so dang excited about it.  Plus maybe down the road someone will see it on a blog sale and want to know what it looks like.

This gorgeous polish is Sordid End, an almost periwinkle blue/purple color with a teal shift.  Oh my you could just knock me over when I put this on.  The teal shimmer is noticeable in many different lighting situations.  I used two coats plus topcoat.  The formula was super easy to use and control.  I read on a lot of blogs that people used three coats but I found it to be perfectly opaque in two coats.  My accent nail is Newly Impassioned Soul, from the same collection as Sordid End.  This is three coats plus topcoat.  You can still see a bit of visible nail line but I've decided that my vnl is just super easy to see.

More photos than normal but I'm seriously just in love.  This was the best polish my husbands money has bought me in a long time haha.  If you guys want to check out other Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer polishes click here for the store and here for the facebook page.

Until next time my lovely readers...

Polish Addict Nail Color Review

Press Sample

Hello!  Tonight I have swatches and reviews of four new polishes from Polish Addict Nail Color (PANC).  The first three are tinted jelly bases with different color/shape glitters.  The fourth polish is a crelly with many different shapes and colors of glitter.  Each polish is shown at three coats with topcoat.  The glitter payoff was great with each coat and laid flat.  In the future I will probably layer these over a cream polish but I really wanted to let you guys see the true color of each polish.  Plus if I'm being perfectly honest I don't own many pink polishes so my layering choices are limited.

First up is Diamonds are Forever.

Next is I <3 Polish.

The third polish is Dark Kisses.  This is my second favorite of the ones I received.  We had zero sun when I wore this one.  Sorry about that.

Lastly we have Cupid's TKO.  This is my favorite of the bunch.

There was no sun for this one either.  Seriously if you can find the sun please send it back to us.  Phoenix is depressing covered in clouds.  You can see these and all sorts of other cool polishes in PANC's store and you can find them on facebook here.  I hope you guys liked these.  Let me know what you think.

Until next time...

Sally Hansen Triple Shine Review

Press Sample

Sun

Hey all!  I recently got a box of goodies to review from Sally Hansen and I decided to start with the new Triple Shine polishes because I've never used them before.  Okay so lets start with the obvious.  My nail length is different in the photos.  You guys know I clean houses and it's hell on my nails.  I broke one and had to chop them down.  Sorry about that.  First up we have Bait Me, a pale silvery color.  I love this one because of how white it pulls on me.  I love white polishes.  This was two coats with topcoat.  My accent nail is Triple Shine Twinkled Pink, a sheer pink base with glitter, layered over Snappy Sorbet from the Insta-Dri line (I bought this polish myself).

Next we have Make Waves.  Now I have to be honest, I didn't think I'd like this polish very much based on the bottle.  Once I had it on I was in love.  It did take three coats but oh well, lots of polishes do.  I actually preferred this polish under indoor lighting.  It was just so darn pretty.

Both of these polishes wore really well.  Bait Me made it through a four house day with no chips.  These polishes are available all over everywhere, Ulta, Target among others.  You can follow along with news from Sally Hansen on facebook here.  So have you tried this line yet?  Any standouts I should go check out?

Until next time...
