Shimmer Polish Julie

*Press Sample*

Sun
Hello!  I've got a quickie post for you tonight.  Shimmer Julie is another outstanding glitter from Shimmer Polish.  I know I sound like a broken record you guys but seriously these glitter polishes are top notch.  This is one coat layered over Barielle First Class Ticket.  I really can't say enough good things about the quality of this polish.  The glitter is all laying flat and it was smooth with one coat of Rica Glossy Glam.

Shimmer Polish Trisha

*Press Sample*

Hello and happy Sunday!  Today I have another stunner from Shimmer Polish.  This is Trisha.  I layered one coat over Barielle Take Me Shopping, from their new spring line.  Trisha is nice and smooth with just one layer of topcoat.  Just like every other Shimmer I've used the quality of the formula and application is seriously topnotch.

You can find Shimmer Polish here on etsy and here on facebook.  Go check them out.  They are worth it!

Until next time...

Shimmer Polish Jenny

*Press Sample

Shade
Hey everyone!  Sorry for the sporadic posts lately.  We are doing a huge home improvement project and I've been working a ton.  My nails and cuticles are a hot mess.  Hopefully once the new floors are in most of my house I will get back to normal here.  Or whatever passes as normal around here.  Today's mani is one coat of Shimmer Polish Jenny layered over China Glaze Tart-y For The Party.  In my head I thought using a star cutout from Nail Vinyls would be so cute.  In reality the star is a little distorted.  Be honest here, if I hadn't said it was a star would you have been able to tell?

As with every Shimmer I've used thus far the formula and application was spot on.  Amazingly easy to use and smooth with just one layer of topcoat.  If you haven't tried out Shimmer Polish yet I highly recommend that you do.  Click here for the shop and here to check out Shimmer on facebook.

Until next time...

Shimmer Polish Bernice and Natalie

Shade
Hello my loves!  A while back I was a winner in a Shimmer Polish giveaway.  Along with the winnings she was awesome enough to send some extra polishes for review.  So I'll have a few posts coming up showing off a few Shimmer Polish beauties each time.  Up first I have Bernice, a dark tinted base with black, silver, blue and teal glitters.  Oh how I swooned when I first saw this one.  Love, love, love this!  I layered it over China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (and yes the formula on that one still sucks).  My pictures show just one coat and look at all that glitter.  This would definitely build up to be opaque on its own.  As usual with Shimmer the formula was spot on.  All the glitter is laying flat and smooth.  I did top this with a coat of Revlon Colorstay Gel topcoat and then a coat of Glossy Glam to finish it off.

Next up is Shimmer Natalie, blue, copper and turquoise glitter in a slightly tinted base.  I picked China Glaze At Vase Value (quite possibly the worst formula polish I've ever used) because I thought Natalie had a clear base.  Turns out it's a bit tinted so it changed the base color a bit but still looked really amazing.  This is one coat of Natalie topped with Glossy Glam topcoat.  Again the formula is just amazing.  It applied just like Bernice and every other Shimmer I've tried.

So what do you think?  Shimmer Polish is seriously one of the best indies I've used.  Super consistent with great customer service.  You can check out all Shimmer has to offer on etsy by clicking here and give them a like over on facebook.

Until next time...

Shimmer Jasmine

*PR Sample

Hi!  I'm back.  Did you miss me?  Did you even notice it's been a week since I blogged?  That's okay.  Between camping, my birthday and hurting my neck I just haven't had it in me to blog.  I'm back today with a reverse gradient (yes another one) of Shimmer Polish Jasmine over Barielle Ocean Breeze.  Both pictures were taken in the shade.  My sun photos didn't turn out because there is so much sparkle you really can't see any detail.

Barielle Ocean Breeze went on easy with two coats.  Jasmine was exactly what I've come to expect from Shimmer Polish.  Perfect amounts of glitter in a super smooth base.  You can find Barielle polishes here and Shimmer polishes here.

I hope you all have an awesome day and I promise not to be gone a whole week this time haha.

Patriotic Manicure

Hey lovlies!  Today I have a patriotic mani to show you.  Tomorrow is Independence Day here in the US so I thought a red, white and blue mani was in order.  I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, probably the best white ever.  It only takes two coats to be even and streak free.  Amazing!  Then I did Shimmer Nichole (I was sent this for review) to do a reverse glitter gradient.  Shimmer's are the absolute best for doing glitter gradients.  The formula is just so smooth and easy to use.  My accent nail is stamped with Zoya Elisa and Song.  My stamping isn't perfect but I was dead set on having stars in this mani.  The first two photos were taken in a mostly sunny condition.  It's monsoon season here so the clouds roll in super fast and that's what happened while I was taking pictures.

I love that this mani turned out just like I was picturing it in my head.  My head's a weird place so it doesn't always work out this way haha.  If you'd like to see this Shimmer and so many other pretties click here to visit the etsy shop and here for the facebook page.  I hope you guys all have a fun and safe 4th of July celebration.  I'm still trying to decide if I should brave the heat and take my boys to see fireworks since I don't have to work the 4th this year.

Until next time...

Sara

*The Shimmer was sent to me for review purposes.  I bought the OPI and Zoyas myself.  As always all opinions good or bad are mine.*

Shimmer Polish Sarah

Shade
Happy Sunday folks!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  My oldest son treated us and his Papa to a movie this afternoon.  We went to see Iron Man 3.  It was pretty good considering I haven't seen Iron Man 2 yet.  Plus they showed a trailer for Catching Fire!  Super excited for that one.  Any way tonight I have a mani that I adored in real life but I'm not sure my pictures show it off the best.  I wore this mani to one of my little sister's high school graduation.  It gave me something sparkly to look at while we waited in the sun for over an hour.  This is China Glaze Aquadelic with a quick gradient (sort of) using Shimmer Polish Sarah.  I told you a while back I won a Shimmer giveaway and she sent some others along for review.  This is definitely the one I was most excited for and it didn't let me down at all.

The formula of these glitter bombs is so amazing.  I wish all glitter polishes (indie or big brand) were this amazing.  Another big bonus is all the Shimmer polishes I've tried so far have been simple to remove as well.

I wish you could better see the purple and bigger blue glitters in these photos.  This mani was so much fun to wear and I will definitely be wearing this again.  If you'd like to check out Shimmer for yourself click here to go over to the etsy shop.  Give her a like on facebook here to keep up to date on all the latest Shimmer news.  I hope you all like this as much as I did.  Have a great evening and enjoy your long weekend if you've got it.

Shimmer Polish Jennifer and Karen

PR Sample (sort of)

Sun
Good morning!  A few weeks ago I won part of a massive giveaway from Shimmer Polish.  Along with the polish I won she sent some for review as well.  So that's why I said PR Sample sort of.  Anyway today I have two Shimmer Polishes to show you.  First up is Jennifer.  I believe Jennifer could be built up and worn on it's own but since it's in a clear base I decided to layer it over Candeo Laman Brisa.  This is one coat of Jennifer.  I can't even believe how much glitter I got in one coat!  Seriously you guys the application is amazing.

My favorite photo is the shade picture.  It really shows off the gorgeous glitters.  Next up is Shimmer Karen.  Again the formula and application are outstanding.  Honestly, I wouldn't lie to you.  This is two coats of Karen over Sation Lollipop Goes the Princess.

This was my first experience with Shimmer Polish.  I have a few more to show you soon.  If they are all this good I will be buying so many.  I've never owned a glitter polish that behaved this well.    Take a look at Shimmer's etsy shop here.  There are so many cool color combos.  If you click here it will take you over to Shimmer's facebook page where you can keep up to date on all the latest happenings.  What are your favorite Shimmer polishes?  I'd love to know what you recommend so I can check them out.

Until next time lovelies...
