Holiday Mani #1

Shade

Hey all!  Tonight I have a Christmas mani, hopefully the first of a few holiday manis but we shall see.  I started with a base of Zoya Trixie then added dots using Zoya Elisa and SinfulColors Pine Away.  For my accent nail I used Julie G Mistletoe, a textured polish from their Gumdrop line, and tape.  Then added a few colored dots to be ornaments.  I got a little impatient with my topcoat though and smeared some of the dots.

I hope you're all having a great night.  I'd love to see your holiday manis.  Feel free to drop them by my facebook page.  Until next time...

Zoya Myrta and Zuza

Sun

Good morning lovelies!  The other day I needed a distraction and what's better than doing a new mani?  Nothing!  So I pulled out Zoya Myrta, Zuza and some striping tape.  Myrta is from Zoya's new Surf collection.  The formula was amazing!  Super easy and minimal clean up.  This is two coats.  The sun pictures make it look like there was some VNL but really you couldn't see it.  Then I used striping tape (you can get this super cheap on ebay) to make some lines.  Two quick coats of Zuza and I was done.

I've done striping tape manicures before but I loved this one so much.  I kept shoving it in peoples faces saying look at this!  Myrta shocked me.  I wasn't expecting to love it this much.  BTW I did a similar tape pedi using Meg and Carly from the same collection.  Looks awesome!  Have a great Wednesday!  Talk to you soon.

Wet N Wild How I Met Your Magenta and Black Creme

You know what doesn't help when you're nail art challenged? Your husband calling three hours early and saying come pick me up. He was an hours drive away. Yeah, so this awesome idea is a bit of a mess. My topcoat smeared the black because I was in a hurry. I can't wait to try this again though.

This is two coats of WNW How I Met Your Magenta (would do three if wearing on its own) with a tape design and WNW Black Creme over it. Black Creme is amazing! Great for stamping and covers in one coat. I used my striping tape to make the lines. Love that stuff!

Oh what a mess! outside, sun

HIMYM is a squishy, bright pink with some shimmer. Not sure if I plan on keeping this one or not. Don't really know how I would get rid of it but whatever. Just seems so wrong to dispose of any nail polish. If you want it, let me know. I'll send it to you.

So what do you think of my nail fail? I figure everyone has them so why not show them off.

Have a great day!

Love is a Racket

So pretty!

As soon as I saw the first pictures of OPI's Love is a Racket and Pros and Bronze, I knew I had to have them. I'm normally not a red person, but this one is pure win! For this mani I used 3 coats of LIAR (do you think they meant for it to spell liar...hehe). I could have stopped at 2 but I really wanted to see if another layer added to this awesome color. It does.

This is the first time I've done an accent nail. The accent color is Pros and Bronze. I can't wait to do a full mani with this. I used nail stripping tape that I ordered off ebay. It makes great lines but do you see that blue on my nail? That's from the tape. It's probably user error since this is
the first time I've used it. I shall try again and see.

I've had this on for a couple of days so there is some tip wear. Straightening up at work is hell on my nail polish.

I don't think this first picture is very color accurate. It looks too orange, but I really wanted to show you how sparkly Pros and Bronze is.
