Cult Nails Nail of the Day

*Purchased by me*

Sun

Hello!  Today's lovely mani is done with Cult Nails Casual Elegance and Winter's Light.  Casual Elegance has the most outstanding formula.  It was almost perfect in one coat.  That's almost unheard of for pastel type colors.  I used two coats with topcoat for my pictures.  Next I used the mini chevrons from Nail Vinyls and put on two quick coats of Winter's Light, a gorgeous glitter polish that I can't wait to wear on it's own.  My use of the chevrons wasn't perfect but honestly most people aren't as close to my nails as you guys are ;).

Were you able to get your hands on this collection before it sold out?  I'm so glad I picked it up.  Have a great day!

Until next time...

Cult Nails NOTD

Sun
Hey guys!  Just a quickie Nail of the Day post.  This is Cult Nails Ms. Conduct with Masquerade layered over top.  Masquerade on it's own is a gorgeous polish but I was curious what would happen if I layered it over Ms. Conduct.  The result was a super pretty mani.

Enjoy your day and I'll talk with you again soon.

Cult Nails Princess

Good morning!  Today is a quickie post featuring Cult Nails Princess with an accent of Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler.  Princess applied well.  It took two coats to be opaque and even.  It was overcast the day I wore this mani so no sun photos for you sadly.

The quality of both these polishes was good but together they didn't wow me.  Oh well!  Can't win them all.  I'm trying to get some posts scheduled for you guys but I am working so much for about the next week and won't even have time to paint my nails.  So it may be a little quieter than normal here.

Until next time...

Cult Nails Disciplined

Hello!  Happy Wednesday.  Another quickie post for you today.  I'm completely in love with gray polishes so I knew I'd love Cult Nails Disciplined from the beginning.  Disciplined is a sheer gray with pink, blue and purple shimmer.  It's buildable to a point but as you can see I still have a bit of vnl after four coats.  I think next time I'll put Zoya Dove or Carey under it.  Sheerness aside I freakin love this polish.  My accent nail is Dollish Polish Girls Rule, Boys Drool.  The Dollish is made up of pink and purple matte glitters.  It was a limited edition but I'd be willing to bet it's pretty similar to Ninja Polish Girly Floam if you're interested.

Again not my best pictures but the sun has been inconsistant at best.  What do you think of this combination?  I really like it and want to wear it again soon with some underpants :)

Have a great day!

*I bought this polish all by myself.*

Cult Nails Flushed

Sun

Hello and good morning!  Did you have a good weekend?  Ours was completely jam packed with craziness.  We had the last soccer games for both boys, end of season parties, my youngest son's birthday party was Saturday.  On Sunday it was his actual birthday and we did family photos.  I'm so tired but happy too.  My husband is a photographer on the side so he always does the boys pictures but it's hard for him to do the whole family.  We managed to do whole family pictures today and I am thrilled with the results.  Anyway on to the real reason you're here.  This amazing polish is Cult Nails Flushed.  Flushed is a blue leaning purple with the most amazing pink shimmer in it.  It seriously is a glowing polish.  The shimmer is outstanding in the sun and still very visible indoors.  The polish starts off sheer but is totally buildable.  This is three coats with topcoat.

Are you a Cult Nails fan?  I love most everything I've purchased from them.  I also picked up Disciplined when I got Flushed and can't wait to wear it.  What is your favorite Cult Nails polish?

Have a great day!

Zoya Annie & Cult Nails Captivated

Sun

Hello!  Todays manicure was picked out by my 9 year old son.  He selected Zoya Annie with an accent nail of Cult Nails Captivated.  He also insisted that the accent be on my pointer finger.  I love, love these polishes together.  This is two coats of Zoya Annie, a gorgeous orange red.  Perfect formula like usual.  They I put on coat of Captivated on my accent nail.  These just compliment each other so well.  I should let my son pick my colors more often.

Cult Nails Manipulative

Sun

Hello and happy almost Tuesday!

Today I have the new Cult Nails Manipulative to show you.  I am completely in love with these types of colors lately.  Sea-foam blue/green makes my happy!  This is three coats of Manipulative.  The formula was fantastic.  There is a slight shimmer to this color that the camera just didn't want to pick up.  Take a look and let me know what you think.

Icing Glitz and Glam

Hello my fellow nail polish lovers! Today I have a quick post to show you a really pretty glitter polish I won in a giveaway from Painting Outside the Lines on facebook. I won two polishes, Icing Glitz and Glam and a Sinful Colors with no label but it's a really pretty teal, blueish color. This is two coats of Glitz and Glam over two coats of Cult Nails Blackout. I wish I would have stopped at one coat of the glitter but oh well. I had originally tried to wear this polish by itself but at three coats I still had sparse spots but over black I am in love. I wore this polish for 5 days with no chips or tip wear. Amazing!

So what do you think? I can't wait to wear this again. Go check out Painting Outside the Lines. She posts lots of great stuff.

Have a great day!

Cult Nails Mazo

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!

Today I have Cult Nails Mazo to show you. You know, I wasn't really interested in this polish until I saw some pictures of it layered over other colors. I'm going to show you what it looks like on its own with three coats. It's super sheer so I still had visible nail line. Not really my kind of color but the formula was fabulous and the gold shimmer is awesome. The first two pictures are in the sun and the third is in shade. The last picture is layering options.

I've tried to crop this photo down three times and it keeps loading the uncropped one. Ugh! Anyway, ignore the flakies. The green is China Glaze Starboard and one coat of Mazo. Next is CG First Mate and one coat of Mazo. Next up is CG Life Preserver and one coat of Mazo. Lastly is Zoya Cynthia and one coat of Mazo. I love these layering combos and can't wait to try them all as full a full mani.

Do you have any Cult Nails? I can't wait for their spring collection. Have a great day!

Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed

Today I have the gorgeous Cult Nails Toxic Seaweed. I'm so happy to have this polish. When trying to decide what color to layer TS over I really wanted something that would keep it as close to the bottle color as possible. I have nail wheels that I try different combinations out on. To go with this I have a notebook that I write down all the combos in so I won't forget what they are. I can't be the only one doing this right? Okay maybe I am. So I tried Toxic Seaweed over Sinful Colors Kissy, Cult Nails Let Me Fly and Finger Paints Scenery Greenery. The Finger Paints got me closest to the bottle color on TS. It did look really neat over Kissy as well. Take a look at the pictures and let me know what you think. This is two coats of Scenery Greenery and two coats of Toxic Seaweed.

By the way, if you see anything that looks kinda foggy or blue on my nails it's because I dropped my bottle of Butter London Victoriana on the patio. I didn't realize it was on my nails until half way though taking pictures. I very carefully used some remover to clean it off and reapplied topcoat to save my mani.

Do you see all those pretty coppery flakies in there? Love love love! Maria of Cult Nails mentioned that Toxic Seaweed may be limited edition due to trouble sourcing ingredients so head over and check it out soon.

Have a great Saturday!

Cult Nails Let Me Fly and Clairvoyant

Good morning! Today I have the amazing combo of Cult Nails Let Me Fly and Clairvoyant (aka Unicorn Puke). I love, love, love this mani. Let Me Fly is a gorgeous teal with a very pretty shimmer. It went on in two effortless coats. Just like we've all come to expect from Cult Nails.

Isn't that just amazing? Then to make it even better I added a coat of Cult Nails Clairvoyant. I'm sure you've all heard of Unicorn Puke. This is the same polish with a different name. It has multi-colored flakies in a purple tinted base. So pretty I just want to put in on everything!

Told you it was amazing! I don't even have the proper words to describe this. On a funny note, when I was trying this out on a nail wheel, I showed my husband and he said "That looks like unicorns". I know my husband has never heard of Unicorn Puke so it made me laugh.

Have a great day!

Cult Nails Blackout and some more Correction Tape

sun

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been gone so long. Busy time of year and all. This was my New Years mani. Two coats of Cult Nails Blackout and a layer of Wet n Wild Correction Tape. My husband picked this one out. I really liked it except for the weird Seche Vite shrinkage. Usually SV shrinks my tips but this time it shrunk at the bottom creating weird lines. Strange! If I was going to wear Blackout by itself I would probably have worn three coats. I had some thin spots. Check it out and let me know what you think. Sorry I don't have any pictures of Blackout by itself but I did these nails at night, hence the SV. Usually my go to topcoat is Cult Nails Wicked Fast.

I got a new camera for Christmas so bear with me a little. My next few posts will be a mix of new and old camera shots. Today's pictures are with the new one. It's more color accurate I think but taking some time to learn.

Have a great day!
