Hi everyone! Today I have a polish to show you that I really wanted to love. Really I did. I want to start by saying the formula and application of this polish was spot on. Hands down one of the easiest polishes I've ever used. Sadly the color just fell flat on me. The holo is super sublte and the color looks bad with my skin. Then I thought adding an accent nail might help it out. I was wrong on that too. The accent is Pop Culture Cosmetics Monster Mash, a new to me indie brand. Monster Mash has a nude shimmer base with a super cool mix of glitters in it. The glitters did not want to come out of the bottle. The first coat of Monster Mash gave me two pieces of glitter. I do really love the colors though so I'm going to try it again before giving up on it. I'm thinking it would look really cool over a nude/neutral polish.

I know it's a lot of photos but I really wanted to try and show this off in the best possible way. I was really sad that I didn't like this. I'm a huge Clueless fan. As If has already found a new, loving home. What's the last polish that you were super excited for but then it let you down?
Until next time...
Sara
*I purchased this polish myself. Restock madness took ahold of me and this polish I don't like was the result.*
Sad to hear that this polish wasn't as good as your expectations. I think its still a pretty color :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's pretty but just not on me.
DeleteIt's so sad when a colour can look gorgeous in the bottle or on other people but have it look bad with your own skin tone. :( Your swatches are still beautiful though!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteI really like this. And I don't think it's terrible on you, at all. As much as I LOVE big ol' holos, there's something so delicate, pretty, and a little surprising about the subtle ones.
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly falling in love with subtle holos. Thanks!
DeleteI really like this! It kind of reminds me of a pale bubblegum color. I like how soft and dreamy it is. The glitter is also really cute, despite the application problems you had with it.
