Orly Sweet Peacock

I learned an important lesson today. Always peel the orange before you paint your nails. Man I really wanted that orange. Oh well! To make up for it I have the most incredible blue nail polish that I've used in a time. I let my 3 year old pick out my colors today. He picked this and China Glaze Strawberry Fields for my toes. Orly Sweet Peacock is from the new fall collection. I only picked up two, this one and Fowl Play. I may have to go back and get Sea Gurl. Not sure yet.

This is like blue metal on my nails. This is my favorite finish for polish. Not sure if I really get how fall appropriate it is but I don't really care. This is amazing and I will wear it all year round. Helps I live in Phoenix and it's sunny pretty much all the time 8)

Now on to the photos. I took so many it was hard to choose.

I just can't get over how sparkly Sweet Peacock is! What do you think?

PS* I just had to show you the funniest bottle of nail polish I picked up this weekend at Ulta. This just made me laugh and laugh. I love it!

Love is a Racket

So pretty!

As soon as I saw the first pictures of OPI's Love is a Racket and Pros and Bronze, I knew I had to have them. I'm normally not a red person, but this one is pure win! For this mani I used 3 coats of LIAR (do you think they meant for it to spell liar...hehe). I could have stopped at 2 but I really wanted to see if another layer added to this awesome color. It does.

This is the first time I've done an accent nail. The accent color is Pros and Bronze. I can't wait to do a full mani with this. I used nail stripping tape that I ordered off ebay. It makes great lines but do you see that blue on my nail? That's from the tape. It's probably user error since this is
the first time I've used it. I shall try again and see.

I've had this on for a couple of days so there is some tip wear. Straightening up at work is hell on my nail polish.

I don't think this first picture is very color accurate. It looks too orange, but I really wanted to show you how sparkly Pros and Bronze is.

China Glaze Starboard and White Cap

outside in full morning sun

Someone please tell me why I waited so long to try China Glaze Starboard. It is AMAZING! Probably the prettiest green cream I own. I have a few colors from the Anchors Away collection but this is by far my favorite. Then to make it even better, I put a layer of White Cap over it. Oh the sparkles!

I forgot to get a bottle shot by itself but oh well. You all know what the bottle looks like right? I also forgot to get a shady picture. I sometimes forget how intense the AZ sun can be on nail color.

I hope you like the pictures. I got attacked by bugs to get them 8)

Color Club Space Case

This is the amazing Space Case by Color Club. It's the most amazing bright pink with some really weird, not shiny glitter in it. Considering that I'm a bit odd, I loved it. It went on in two perfect coats. Of course I can't leave well enough alone so I put one coat of Starry Temptress on top. So sparkly and shiny. I got so many compliments on this one.

Outside in the shade.

Full Phoenix sun! My little point and shoot doesn't always like the bright sun. I may have to try and learn how to use my husbands DSLR (if he'll let me touch it).

Until next time,

Sara

*did you see my pretty bamboo plant in the background? It's about the only thing I can keep alive in the summer. Mostly thanks to my husband remembering to water it 8)
