Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Flash Forward Fantasy

*Purchased by me

Hey guys!  How is everyone?  If you've been with me a while then you know that I don't do neutrals.  I'm of the mindset that if I'm going to paint my nails they should be fun, happy colors.  I'm fortunate that I don't have a job that my nails matter.  I can do whatever I want with them.  That being said I decided to take a giant leap outside of my comfort zone with a gorgeous neutral polish from what is fast becoming my favorite indie brand.  This is Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Flash Forward Fantasy.  I used three coats for opacity.  The formula is on the thicker side but it is very easy to control and apply.  It dries to a matte finish.  I added a quick and dirty gradient using Milani Sugar High and it was instant love.  I'm so in love with this mani!  It will definitely become my go to "neutral" nail look.  A layer of topcoat made it all nice and shiny.

You should head on over to facebook and give BEGL a like so you can keep up to date on all the pretty polishes.  Have a great night guys!

Until next time...

China Glaze Glitter Up

*Purchased by me

Sun

Hello!  Happy Saturday.  I hope you all are having a great day.  I'm busy soaking up the really weird cold snap we're having here in Phoenix.  This last week it was in the 90's but today it was 61 last I checked.  So bizarre but I'll take it.  Anyhow, today I have a mani I wore a while back.  This is China Glaze Glitter Up over China Glaze Lotus Begin.  Glitter Up is shown at one coat.  I got a good amount of glitter with one coat but I kind of had to push it around with the brush because it was all piled up in one spot on my nails.  I am loving the color combo though.

I picked up all the glitters from this little collection but haven't worn any of the others yet.  Have you grabbed any of them?

Until next time...

NailNation 3000 Awesome Sauce

*Purchased by me*

Sun

Hey guys!  Quickie post today because I'm trying to run out to squeeze in a workout this morning.  Today I have the amazing NailNation 3000 Awesome Sauce for you.  It's a gorgeous orangey/coralish holo.  How's that for some descriptive writing haha!  In the bottle it looked like a darker orange but the coralish of it came out on my nails.  This is two perfect coats and a layer of topcoat.  This will be going on my toes next time I paint them.

I can't even get over the gorgeousness of it all!  You can check out NailNation on facebook for more information.  I'm off to workout and if there's time hit the nail supply shop for more NN goodness.

Until next time...

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Birthday WIshes

*Purchased by me*

Sun

Hey all!  Today I have a polish from one of my favorite indies, Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer.  I found Birthday Wishes on a blog sale a while back and snapped it up.  It's a pretty blue with purple shimmer.  It's pretty sheer so I layered two coats over Essie Mesmerized.  My accent nail is China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle because I just love these two colors together.

Sun
I hope you all have a great weekend!  I'm off to Vegas in the morning with Mr. MLiP, my best friend and her husband.  It's going to be epic!

Until next time...

Aurora Lacquers Review

*Press Sample*

Hey guys!  Today I have a review of four polishes from a relatively new indie line.  Aurora Lacquers is a mother/daughter team.  I'm excited to have the opportunity to show these polishes to you.  Lets jump right in shall we?

First up is Mint Meadows, a minty gold green shimmer polish (totally stole that description from their etsy listing).  I was pleasantly surprised by how easy this polish went on.  My photos are two coats with topcoat.  It was perfectly opaque and smooth.  My pictures make it look a bit bumpy but it was completely smooth to the touch.

Next polish up is Hydrangea Surprise, a light blue crelly (hate that word but it works so well) with a mix of dots and hex glitters.  Before I tried this I honestly expected to need to either layer it over something like Zoya Blu (which I don't like doing because you lose some of the crelly softness) or to have to use several layers.  This is two coats!  Two!  It was so smooth and creamy.  Again totally smooth with a layer of topcoat.

Our third polish is Bunny Grass Pink, my favorite of the bunch.  It's bright pink glitters in an iridescent jelly base.  This is one coat over two different Barielle creams.  The glitter payoff is excellent.  Again this many was smooth with a layer of topcoat.

Last polish for today is Poppy Parade layered over Zoya Mira and China Glaze Sweet Hook.  This is the one polish I had a bit of trouble with.  Every time I stuck the brush in all that came out was base with the iridescent shimmer.  I had to fish around a bit for the glitters.  The color combo is spot on in this polish.  I just think it needs more glitter.  It really is the perfect spring/Easter glitter topper.  Both of these pictures were taken in slightly cloudy conditions.  The sun disappeared right as I stepped outside to take pictures.

For my first experience with this brand I'm pretty impressed.  The quality on all the polishes was good.  Other than Poppy Parade they all applied flawlessly.  Head on over to facebook and give Aurora Lacquers a like.  If you'd like to check out their shop click here.  There is a green version of Bunny Grass Pink called Easter Grass Green that I would really like to pick up.  Which polish is your favorite?

I hope you all have an awesome day!  Until next time...

Cult Nails Nail of the Day

*Purchased by me*

Sun

Hello!  Today's lovely mani is done with Cult Nails Casual Elegance and Winter's Light.  Casual Elegance has the most outstanding formula.  It was almost perfect in one coat.  That's almost unheard of for pastel type colors.  I used two coats with topcoat for my pictures.  Next I used the mini chevrons from Nail Vinyls and put on two quick coats of Winter's Light, a gorgeous glitter polish that I can't wait to wear on it's own.  My use of the chevrons wasn't perfect but honestly most people aren't as close to my nails as you guys are ;).

Were you able to get your hands on this collection before it sold out?  I'm so glad I picked it up.  Have a great day!

Until next time...

Summer collections are hands down my favorite of the year.  Zoya's summer collections are usually my first purchase of the season and this year will be no different.  Tickled is six vibrant creams and Bubbly is six sparkly shades packed with holo glitter particles.

I'm so ready for these colors.  We have definite summer weather here, in the mid to upper 90's last week so these will suit my mood perfectly.  Pre-order for this collection starts April 15th on Zoya's website for $9 each.

Lacquerhead Polish Mi Amor

*Purchased by me*

Sun

Hello my friends!  A little bit ago I decided I needed to paint my nails pink.  Those of you that have been here a while know that I'm not a pink/red polish kinda girl.  I even painted my toes red just today.  I better run out and get my head checked.  Anyway I decided to use Laquerhead Mi Amor, a lovely bright pink with scattered silver holo bits.  I used three coats for opacity.  The formula was easy to work with and it wore really well for me.

Sun

Shade

Enjoy the pink folks!  I'm sure it will be another 2 years before I wear pink again haha.  Have a great night!

Until next time...
