Barielle Sky's the Limit and Platinum Ring

How's everyones weekend been so far? Tonight I have two more new Barielle polishes to show you, Sky's the Limit and Platinum Ring. There are my kind of colors. Sky's the Limit is a very pretty blue. It went on perfectly in two coats. I see lots of layering combos in my future. Check it out.

Next up is Platinum Ring. It's a silver foil, that's more than just a foil. Helpful right? It's smoother than a lot of other silver foils. I should know. I love silver foils and own at least 4 or 5. The formula was great, 2 easy coats. The dry time on this was great. I always use a fast dry topcoat (I have two little kids, it's a necessity) but this was touchable even before I could put it on. Here's a few photos.

Overall I am super impressed by these new colors and will definitely be checking out some more of the new ones. You can find Barielle polishes here. Thanks for stopping by!

Barielle Cosmic Kiss and Starchild

Hi everyone! How's everyone doing? Today I have two new Barielle polishes to show you. Barielle recently put out 90 new shades! I know, 90! I have the lovely pink Cosmic Kiss and the super sparkly Starchild to show you today.

First up is Cosmic Kiss. Now, I don't own many pink creams, usually not my thing. However, Cosmic Kiss may have changed my mind. This is two coats plus Barielle's Ultra Speed Dry topcoat. The formula on CK was pretty good. It leveled it self out pretty well and I was happy after two coats. It just looked so squishy. Love it!

Next I layered one coat (yep that's just one) of Starchild over top of Cosmic Kiss. Starchild is a gorgeous holographic glitter. The larger hex glitter kept wanting to clump together but with a little more practice I think this will make a great layering polish.

I just loved this combo. I wore it for several days, which is unusual for me. Now I must say that the quick dry topcoat wasn't very quick for me. I'm going to try it a few more times before giving up on it.

Have a great day!

Shop My Stash St Patricks Day Edition

Hi Everyone! So I meant to post this over the weekend and well life got the better of me and I didn't get to it. Sorry! I wore Zoya Ivanka for my St Pattys Day mani. Ivanka just looks like St Patricks in a bottle. All that shimmery goodness. The pictures are two coats. After seeing most of the sun shots I think I should have done three but in the shade it totally kicked butt.

This is the sun shot and you can see some thin spots on my pinky. I also had a kick butt pedi that day. China Glaze Holly Day with Zoya Opal over it. So awesome! Try it if you have those.

Take care!

OPI I Have a Herring Problem

Just a quick Friday post for you all. This beauty is from OPI's Holland collection. I Have a Herring Problem has a easy two coat formula. So pretty! Check it out.

I just love this color and can't wait to wear it on my toes. Don't worry I won't show you pictures of that :)

Have a great weekend!

China Glaze Stone Cold

Good morning! Today I have another Hunger Games polish from China Glaze to show you. This beauty is Stone Cold. Stone Cold is a matte gray that is just gorgeous. The formula was super easy to work with. The pictures today are two coats just because of some user error. A steadier hand could probably just do one.

Sorry about the weird silver line on the curve of my middle nail. I got a new clean up brush and am having a hard time adjusting to it. Are you a fan of matte polishes or not?

Have a great day!

It's Twins!

It's twins on my nails! I have been wanting some of the Essence Nail Art Twins forever but as we all know they were never available in the US. Luckily I met a lovely lady in the Netherlands through a facebook group that was kind enough to hunt these down and send them to me. Today I'll be showing you Bella and Edward. I also recieved Chuck and Blair that I will show you later. The formula on Bella was awesome. Two easy coats. Bella is super close to one of my all time favorites, China Glaze Custom Kicks. The only real difference is CK has a golden shimmer in it. Edward is the sparkly, glitter top coat. I put two layers on just to make sure everything was covered. Take a look at the pictures. This color plus the glitter tends to freak my camera out a bit, sorry.

This combo is so much fun and it wore like iron. Do you have any twins?

Pretty and Polished Midnight Rider

Good morning everyone!

Today's post is a scheduled one because I will have just had my wisdom teeth out and wasn't sure if I would be up to blogging over the weekend. Midnight Rider is so pretty. The photos show two coats of MR over one coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black. The formula is amazing! Some of the bigger polish companies could learn something from Pretty and Polished. The glitter wasn't a pain to get on the nail. It just came out of the bottle and stayed where I put it on my nails. I'm going to layer this over some other colors to see what happens. I will definitely be ordering more polishes soon. Check it out. There are a lot of pictures.

Look at that bottle! Isn't it gorgeous? You should all go order a bottle now! No really, go! Click here to visit the Pretty and Polished Etsy store. I love polish shopping on Etsy. What is your favorite Etsy store?

Have a great day!

Sinful Colors Zeus

Happy Friday! Today's post is scheduled in advance because I'm having my wisdom teeth out this morning. When I heard about the new Sinful Colors Cast Away collection I knew I had to have this. Such a pretty purple with pink shimmer. This is two coats and the formula is great. On my ring finger I added a nail tattoo from bigRuby. Click the link and check them out. They are water decals and couldn't have been easier to use. So cool!

I have one other color from this collection to show you still. I'm going to try to schedule a few more posts because I don't know how long I'm going to be out of it plus my kid is on spring break next week. I hope you all have a great weekend.

China Glaze Riveting

Of all the the Hunger Games polishes I picked up, Riveting is hands down my favorite. Holy glowing orange nail polish! My husband saw it and said "Holy crap that's bright!" Normally he only notices my polish when I shove it under his nose. This is three coats of Riveting. In the pictures you can see some visible nail line but it wasn't really apparent in real life. I absolutely love this polish. I think it'll be a great pedi color this summer.

So are you an orange polish lover? What is your favorite orange? China Glaze Riveting and Zoya Tanzy are at the top of my list.

Hope you are having a great day!

Essie Play Date

Just a quick post for you today. I had food poisoning over the weekend so my house is a disaster and I should be cleaning it but instead here I am. Play Date is a gorgeous purple cream. The formula was great and it took two coats to be opaque. I layered one coat of Essie Pure Pearlfection over top and it was love at first site. This mani wore like iron as well.

And just for fun here's Cooper. He helps me take pictures in the backyard. Aren't his big bat ears so cute? His partner in crime, Kali, wouldn't stand still long enough to have her photo taken.

Shop My Stash Sunday

Good morning everyone!

So I've realized that I keep buying new polish and hardly ever go back and revisit polishes I've loved in the past. I think that in order to use some of my poor, neglected pretties, I'm going to do a Shop My Stash post every couple of weeks. The plan is to go through the colors I have worn and pick out one that I loved and have been wanting to wear again. Today I have Zoya Harley to show you. I needed a quick mani the other day and Harley was the perfect choice. Harley is a light gray color with a very pretty shimmer. The top photo is in full sun and the bottom one is in the shade. Check it out!

I'm hoping to do a Shop My Stash post every other weekend but no guarantees. I invite all of you to shop you stash as well. I'd love to see some of your favorites colors from the past. Feel free to leave me a link to your posts in the comments. Hope you are all having a great Sunday.

Cult Nails Mazo

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!

Today I have Cult Nails Mazo to show you. You know, I wasn't really interested in this polish until I saw some pictures of it layered over other colors. I'm going to show you what it looks like on its own with three coats. It's super sheer so I still had visible nail line. Not really my kind of color but the formula was fabulous and the gold shimmer is awesome. The first two pictures are in the sun and the third is in shade. The last picture is layering options.

I've tried to crop this photo down three times and it keeps loading the uncropped one. Ugh! Anyway, ignore the flakies. The green is China Glaze Starboard and one coat of Mazo. Next is CG First Mate and one coat of Mazo. Next up is CG Life Preserver and one coat of Mazo. Lastly is Zoya Cynthia and one coat of Mazo. I love these layering combos and can't wait to try them all as full a full mani.

Do you have any Cult Nails? I can't wait for their spring collection. Have a great day!

We have a Winner!

Thanks to everyone that entered my Just Because I Can Giveaway! We are very high tech around here (insert proper amount of sarcasm here) and Becks picked a winner out of a bowl. Poor little guy was so confused about what we were doing. He kept saying "I want to pick Grandmas name".

The winner is Shally from The Polished Pixie. Click the link to go check out her blog. I've already emailed and heard back from her.

If you didn't win this time don't worry, I will do another giveaway in the future. I love giving away nail polish.

Have a great day!

China Glaze Harvest Moon

Good morning lovely readers!

Today I'm excited to show you my second Hunger Games polish, Harvest Moon. I love foil finishes so much and this is no exception. Harvest moon is a gorgeous bronzish/copperish color. It was perfect in two coats. It just lights up in the sun. It looks more copper in the sun and bronze in the shade. Take a look!

Shade

I think this color would look great with Luxe and Lush layered over it. I'm getting so excited for the Hunger Games movie. It will be a date night outing for the husband and me. He's even read the books and really liked them. Talk to you soon and may the odds be ever in your favor.
