Zoya Magical Pixie Dust for Summer 2014

*Press Sample

Hello everyone!  Today I have the new Zoya Magical Pixie Dust polishes for summer 2014.  This is my first time using the Pixies with the holo glitter in them.  I did just want the instructions said, no base coat and no top coat.  I have to say that these all applied really well.  I used three coats for all three polishes.  Each polish has a sun picture followed by a shade picture.

Let's start with my favorite of the three.  This is Ginni.  I just loved all the sparkles on my nails while I was wearing this.

Next we have Bar, a nude take on a texture polish.

Lastly we have Arlo.  This had the most color in the base of the three.

So for my first foray in to the Magical Pixie Dust polishes I'm pretty impressed by how easy they were to apply.  You can find these on Zoya.com and stay up to date with Zoya happenings on their facebook page.

Until next time...

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review

*Press Sample*

Hey guys!  I have a stamping plate from Born Pretty Store to review for you all today.  I started out with a base of Mentality Orgasmic which I received in a secret swap from a lovely lady.  Then I used my go to black stamping polish, Wet n Wild Black Creme to stamp this very pretty flower pattern from plate QA27.  I have to say that this plate worked really well.  Other than on my ring finger where you can see the inside of a flower is missing it stamped amazingly well.  The missing flower part probably has more to do with me than with the plate.  I'm still working on this stamping thing for sure.

So I have to say for $2.99 this plate is worth it.  Here's the link for the plate and here's a link to Born Pretty Store.  Don't forget off to the right is a discount code, FEMJ61, that will save you 10% on regular price items.   Have a great day!

Until next time...

KBShimmer NOTD

*Purchased by me*

Hey all!  I found this mani from forever ago in my photo files.  I can't believe I forgot to share it.  I started off with a base of KBShimmer Turbulence.  It dries matte but I love it with topcoat.  After that was dry I used a chevron strip from Nail Vinyls and used KBShimmer I'd Rather Be With Blue.  These polishes were basically made to be worn together.

I hope you all really like this mani.  Have a great day!

Until next time...

Born Pretty Store Nail Studs Review

*Press Sample*

Hello!  Today I have my first attempt at nail studs to show you.  I received these cool blue leaf studs from Born Pretty for review.  Since I had never used them before I decided to go simple for my first time.  My next conundrum was how to put them on and what to use to make them stick.  I dug around in my bin of random nail art stuff from the days of Nail Art Society (think that was the name) and found some tweezer type things that worked for picking up the studs.  I put down a layer of topcoat then placed the stud on the nail.  I love they way this turned out so much.  It took a very simple mani of China Glaze Shore Enuff and First Mate and amped it up a notch.

I think I didn't push them down enough into the topcoat so they popped off pretty quick.  I've been advised to try some nail glue next time buy some very smart ladies.  Born Pretty has all sorts of nail art supplies.  Click the link to head over to their store front.  If you'd like to go directly to the nail studs click here.  I have a discount code for Born Pretty one the right side of the blog.  The code is FEMJ6 will save you 10%.  Here's a link for a great sampling of everything they offer.

Until next time...

Smitten Himalayan Blue Poppy

*Purchased by me*

Good morning!  Today I have the gorgeous Himalayan Blue Poppy.  This polish is absolutely gorgeous!  It went on smooth and opaque in two coats.  Sadly I had all sorts of chips in less than 24 hours.  I don't know if it just didn't agree with my topcoat or what.  I'll have to try it again with another base coat/topcoat combo.

I hope you all have a great day!

Until next time...

Sinful Colors Peppered Amazon

*Purchased by me*

First things first!  Who comes up with these names?  What is a Peppered Amazon?  Okay I feel better now.  Hi everyone!  I stopped in a Walgreens the other day to buy my little guy these weird little toys called Gogos and of course I had to look at the huge Sinful Colors display.  There were a bunch of new colors.  So I picked up four.  Today I have Peppered Amazon.  This is a gorgeous polish with a gorgeous formula.  Two coats and topcoat are shown.  I had several people comment on this pretty color.  Which led to me ranting about weird polish names every time.  Anyhow this is a great color for a great price.

Have a great day everyone!  Until next time...

Zoya Bubbly for Summer 2014

*Press Sample*

Good morning everyone!  Today I have the second half of Zoya's summer offerings.  You can see the first half, Tickled, here.  This is Zoya Bubbly for summer 2014.  These are jelly based polishes full of iridescent glitters.  They are gorgeous and sparkly.  I managed to get most of the colors pretty opaque with three coats.  Every color is shown with three coats and topcoat.  I tried layering them over their corresponding cream colors on my other hand and got great results as well.  The topcoat made them all smooth.  Okay now that all of that is out of the way, here we go.

First up is my absolute favorite.  It reminds me of Zoya Charla only all amped up with glitter.  This is Zoya Muse.  You guys know normally I give you a sun shot and a shade shot but it was slightly overcast the day I wore this.

Next up is Jesy, a gorgeous orange.  I will definitely layer this one next time over an orange cream.

The third polish today is Harper, a bubble gum pink.

Our fourth polish is Alma.  This was the least opaque of the bunch for me.

Next up is Binx.  I took this polish for a wear test.  I'm pleased to report that it wore like iron for three days of work.  I clean houses so my polish gets run through the wringer.

Our final polish today is my second favorite from this collection.  Stassi is a gorgeous green.  I don't have pictures of it but it also looks amazing layered over Zoya Tilda.

Now if I was a smart girl I would have realized that I should have put the shade pictures before the sun pictures because the shade shows them off better.  Unfortunately it's late and I really want to go to bed so I'm not rearranging them.  I really hope you guys liked these polishes.  Zoya summer collections are something I look forward to every year and I couldn't be more thrilled to be reviewing these for you all.  You can purchase any of these polishes now at zoya.com and follow along with sales and releases on Zoya's facebook page.

Until next time...

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer BEGLove

*Purchased by me*

Hey all!  Do you ever have obsessions with certain brands?  Lately I have been obsessed with Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquers.  I mean like totally obsessed.  Today I have BEGLove, a group custom, and an accent nail of Love Makes You Do the Wacky.  Both had super smooth and easy to apply formulas.  BEGLove is almost a one coater.  I used two coats plus topcoat on all nails.

BEGL is having a restock this weekend of some fan favorites including Wacky and Sordid End, my favorite polish of the year so far.  I showed you Sordid End here.  You should go look at it again.  Most of these polishes haven't been available for a while.  Click here to get the info from BEGL's facebook page and here for the shop.

Until next time...

Nicole by OPI I'll Be At The Pool

*Purchased by me*

Sun
Hey all!  Do you ever come across polishes that just scream "Wear me together!"?  I picked up Nicole by OPI I'll Be At The Pool for cheap at TJ Maxx.  Blue, glass flecky goodness?  Yes please!  Shortly after I was at Walmart (because it's the only place I can buy these crackers that I'm addicted too) and came across Salon Perfect Touchy Feely.  I immediately knew it needed to be worn with the NOPI.  I'll Be At The Pool is two coats with topcoat and then I added a little gradient of sorts using Touchy Feely.  Pure love I tell ya!

Shade
I hope you all have a great night and a great tomorrow!

Until next time...

Zoya Tickled Collection

*Press Sample*

Hello everyone!  I'm super excited to show you the Zoya Tickled Collection.  This is one half of their summer release.  This is my first time reviewing for Zoya and I couldn't be more thrilled.  Summer collections are always my favorite of the year.  I'm just a summer polish color kind of girl so that makes being picked to review even better.  Each polish has a sun picture and a shade picture.  All polishes are shown with topcoat.  I'll give you all the other info for each polish as we go.

First up is Tilda, hands down my favorite from Tickled.  It's pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a green.  Besides swatching, I wore this as a full mani and it's now on my toes as I type this.  Two coats was perfectly opaque and not streaky.

Next is Rooney.  This polish was also perfect in two coats.

This gorgeous bright pink is Kitridge (although my bottle label says Kirtridge).  I think it's actually a bit brighter in person than my photos show.  This polish took three coats to be even.  It was still pretty streaky at two.  This will be an amazing pedicure color this summer.

Shade

This gorgeous blue is Ling.  My second favorite from this collection.  This took two coats to be amazing.  This reminds me a bit of Zoya Breezi but better.  I wasn't a huge fan of Breezi on me so I gave it to my sister.

Wendy is the most perfect shade of coral for me.  I have a go to coral but was never completely sold on it.  Wendy is exactly what I was looking for.  I ended up doing three coats with this one because I had a few streaky spots after two.  I'm thinking if I'm more careful next time I can get away with two.

Finally we have Rocha, a red leaning orange.  This again is two coats.  I'm thinking this will also make a hot pedi color this summer.

So there you have it!  My very first Zoya review.  Zoya has been my go to brand for cream polishes for the past few years.  You just can't beat the quality they put out.  I believe I saw on Zoya's facebook page that this collection has just started shipping.  So head on over to their website, zoya.com and pick up your favorites.

Until next time...
