Emerald & Ash Review

*Press Sample*

Hello!  Today I have a review of three polishes from Emerald & Ash's Life in Color Collection.  Emerald & Ash is a new to me indie that I was introduced to by some lovely ladies in a local nail polish meet up group that I'm in.  I received three polishes to show you today.  I'm going to start with Water Bay because it is simply amazing!  I'm going to use the descriptions sent over from Emerald & Ash because they are way better than anything I could come up with on my own.  Water Bay is a pool blue foil with a pop of holo hiding in there.  I used three coats plus top coat for my photos.  Honestly on most nails 2 coats was perfect.  I just had a patchy spot on my pinky.

Next up is Tomato, Tomato a red jelly base with flakies that flash red and gold.  It's suggested to either layer it over your favorite red or use two to three coats.  I have three coats with top coat.  This sparkled so much in the sun, which made it kind of a pain to photograph.  The formula was good and it applied very evenly.

The last polish I have for you is Thunderfuck, it has a has a touch of silver pigment and a whole lotta gun metal and midnight rainbow flakies. That wasn’t enough for us because then we added in a smattering of holo and neon purple flakies. This is two coats and top coat. It was streaky on the first coat and evened out pretty well with the second. I do wish I had done a third though. This polish was a bit harder to work with considering everything in it. This one was sooo hard to take pictures of. So hard to show you all the dimension in this polish.

I'm pretty impressed with my first foray into this brand. There are 14 polishes in the Life in Color collection and you can bet on me picking up at least a few more when the collection launches for pre-sale on July 10th at 9am MDT. Orders will begin shipping on July 21st. Here are the pertinent links:

While you are there be sure to check out their line of cuticle oils.  E&A was awesome enough to send over a bottle of this month's featured smell, Fresh Cut Grass.  I've used it a hand full of times and so far I really like it.  They have a ton of scents, so there is something for everyone.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Until next time...

Sara

*Polishes were sent for review in exchange for my honest opinion.  All opinions are 100% mine.*
