Julep Fina and Sarah

Sun

Hi everyone!  I said on facebook yesterday that I'd have a post up by Wednesday and lookie, lookie, it's Tuesday night.  I'm so proud of myself, just kidding!  Today I have two Julep polishes for your viewing pleasure.  Julep Fina is a blueish/silverish metallic.  It went on pretty smooth but messy.  I had a ton of clean-up.  This is two coats.  A more careful person could probably get away with one.  My accent nail is Julep Sarah.  Sarah is a pinkish red jelly glitter.  Downside is this is four coats.  It needs to be layered for me to fully love it.  It did dry really fast considering how many coats it is.

Sun.  Look at all that shine.

Shade
I don't know that Fina will ever be my favorite polish but I do like it.  I think it will work really well for stamping plus it would look really cool with a black lace design stamped over it.  Do you have a favorite Julep polish?  Mine is probably Robin right now.

Have a great day!

Strawberry Licorice from Sparkles by Julie

Good morning!  I have a quickie post today featuring a gorgeous polish.  Strawberry Licorice is a dark silverish polish with purple and holo glitters in it.  The picture is two coats of SL followed by a coat of Gelous and my Color Club topcoat.  The formula is really good.  Glitter came out with no problems.  You can find Sparkles by Julie on etsy or by clicking here.

I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday.  Sorry this is so short but I have to get my boys packed for vacation.  Otherwise they'll be gone for a week wearing only what they had on when they left haha.

Zoya Gaia & kkcenterhk Water Decals

Shade

Hey Lacquer Lovers!  Sorry about the mini break in blog posts.  To kick start things tonight I have a manicure that I could wear everyday.  I adore white polishes.  This is three coats of Zoya Gaia.  Gaia is a sheer but build-able white with tons of gold shimmer.  It's soft, delicate and girly.  Hahaha not things I usually go for in a nail color.  I recently got some new water decals from kkcenterhk.com.  I just knew they would be perfect with Gaia.  These decals are super easy to use.  Just cut out the section you want, take off the top plastic then put it in some water.  After that the decal should come right off the backing.  The great thing about water decals is there is wiggle room.  You can slide the decal around until it's where you want it to be.  Dry it off then topcoat.  Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy as my 4 year old would say.

The decals can be found at kkcenterhk.com by clicking here.  The product code is WDBLE317.  If you pick up some decals or any of the other products use code mylifeinpolish to save 10%.

Talk with you soon :)

Sonnetarium Snowfall

Hi everyone!  I have a super cool glitter to show you tonight.  This is Sonnetarium Snowfall.  Snowfall is made up of several sizes of white hex glitters and small iridescent glitters, basically gorgeousness in a bottle.  Michelle, the owner of Sonnetarium, said she wanted this to be like floating snow.  She nailed (haha) it.  This is one coat of Snowfall over two coats of China Glaze Aquadelic.  Aquadelic was great.  No formula issues, opaque in two coats.  Take a look.

All the pictures were taken outside and it was slightly overcast.  If you'd like to check out Sonnetarium on etsy click here and click here for her fb page.  The bottles are minis but they are good size minis, 9ml.  I love this bottle size.  I believe the etsy shop is in vacation mode right now but like her on fb to be updated when the shop opens up.

Sation Oh My Oceania

Sun
Boy oh boy do I have a cool polish for you today.  I saw a swatch of this somewhere and immediately knew I had to have it.  Luckily there is a supply shop in town that sells Sation and got the new bottles in.  Unfortunately I hardly ever get out there because I can't take the kids with me.  Through the lovely nail polish community I've made a friend that lives pretty close.  She was kind enough to pick this up for me.  She just started a brand new blog.  Click here to go check out Heartfully, Janelle and show her some love.

Shade

This is two coats of Sation Oh My Oceania.  It's a gorgeous teal with a blue shimmer.  I'm just in love.  Unfortunately the brush in my bottle is a disaster.  I have pretty wide nails but this wonky super flat, wide brush made the biggest mess on the skin around my nails.  I have since picked up a few more Sations and the brushes are fine so I think it was just this bottle.

Sun

Do you see that gorgeous shimmer?  I'm in love!  I hope you all have a great day.

Birthday Nails

Sun
Happy Thursday!  Yesterday was my birthday.  It was a good day.  I had lunch with my boys and dinner at my mom's with the whole family.  Mr. MLiP even made it back into town early enough to have dinner with us all.

Since I now have so many new Julep polishes I thought I'd try out a few for my birthday nails.  This is two coats of Julep Daphne with Julep Kate on my accent nail.  The formula on Kate was pretty good.  I used two coats but if I wasn't putting glitter on top I would probably have done three.  Then I put one coat of Julep Mila over the whole thing.  I really enjoyed this fun sparkly manicure.

Shade
I know Daphne has some dupish (yep I'm making up works again) tendencies.  However this is my favorite type of color right now and the formula on this one is great.  So I can forgive it.  What is your favorite aqua/teal/turquoise polish right now?

Julep Charlotte & Sation Shyest Shade

Shade

Hello!  So tomorrow is my birthday and I wanted to show you my birthday nails but I didn't get to take pictures today.  Instead I'm going to show you some equally sparkly nails I wore the other day.  Julep Charlotte is a one coat medium purple.  If I hadn't been putting glitter over it I may have needed two coats on a few nails.  Sation Shyest Shade is a glitter topcoat.  I'm not sure you could ever get it opaque on it's own.  That said, it's a really cool polish.  Hex glitters and smaller iridescent glitters.  It did very slightly mute the purple color.  I think this would look really cool over a shimmery white or really pale blue.

Sun
I know the sun picture isn't all that great but I really wanted to show you how sparkly Shyest Shade is.  I hope you guys like this and I will be back in a day or two to show you my birthday nails.  I used a few colors from my Julep Maven golden box.

Zoya Bevin and an Indie

Hello!  I wasn't going to write this post until tomorrow but I'm up because my kiddo is sick.  He's sleeping now but I'm sure that won't last long.  This was supposed to be my date night manicure but that went out the window.  This is two coats of Zoya Bevin and two-ish coats of Black Cat Lacquers Let Them Eat Cake.  Bevin was a little thicker than I was expecting but was really easy to work with.  It was almost completely opaque in one coat.  Let Them Have Cake was a little more difficult than I would have liked.  The first coat didn't give me much glitter, almost like it didn't want to come out of the bottle even though there looks to be plenty in the bottle.  Oh well, the combination these two make is great.

Sorry about the slight tip wear.  I had been wearing this for a day or so before I was able to take pictures.  I hope you all enjoyed this, I know I did.

Orly Preamp & Icing After Party

Hey everyone!  I'm not normally a pink polish person but Orly Preamp is so cool.  Preamp is from the new Electronic collection.  It's a blue leaning pink with a super awesome shimmer in it.  The formula was a little thick but really easy to control.  I decided to layer Icing After Party on top because, well I just bought it and wanted to use it.  This is one layer of After Party.

I think the color is a little more accurate in the shade picture on top.  So most of you know that Icing After Party is a dupe of Cult Nails Happy Ending.  I love Cult Nails so much but I just couldn't pay $10 for a polish I really won't wear that much.  I kind of feel like I cheated on the Cult.  Either way it's a pretty cool glitter.  I hope you all have a great day!

Orly Syncro

Sun

Good morning!  First of all I'm sorry that I missed pink day in the Rainbow Favorites challenge.  I had on Zoya Alegra which is my second favorite pink, China Glaze 108 Degrees is my favorite.  I just got so busy and didn't take pictures.  Anyway, today I have Orly Synchro from the brand new Orly Electronica collection.  This is a really cool reddish, orangish, pinkish color with a blue flash.  I truly own nothing like it.  This is three coats.  The formula on mine was well behaved but seemed a little thick.  It needed the three coats to be opaque.

Shade

I don't think my photos did this polish justice.  It really is a cool color.  I picked up the other colors in the collection as well.  I will try to get them up for you this week.  Have a great day!
