Rescue Beauty Lounge Jack

Sun

Hello!  (Am I the only one that hears that in Heidi Klum's voice?  I am?)  Today I have my very first RBL polish.  RBL is a little too pricey for me at $20 a bottle.  I got a good deal on this on from Copious though.  I probably won't buy any others.  I'd like you to meet Jack.  Jack is a neat green polish with a cool blue shimmer.  Unfortunately for me, Jack's shimmer, that is so abundant in the bottle, only shows in direct sunlight.  Inside it just looked like any other blue green polish.  The formula was pretty good but I was expecting amazing based on what all the RBL lovers out there are always saying.  The sunlight picture of Jack is amazing.  The shade picture shows you what this polish looks like 99% of the time.

The other downside for me was Jack didn't even make it through one shift at work.  I had big chips and tons of tip wear.  I know there are tons of RBL fanatics out there but as of this mani I'm not one of them.  Sadly with the price tag on these polishes I'm afraid I may not get to try any others in order to change my opinion.  On the upside I was able to sell this polish within a few minutes of listing it up on a swap/sell board.

Have a great day!
Sara

  1. This really is a beautiful color, bummer about the wear time though. $20 is a bit too much to spend on a polish that doesn't even wear well! At least you were able to get rid of it quickly =)

    1. Thanks for stopping by. The high price definitely will deter me from buying more.

  2. Oh wow, that is rather disappointing! It looks gorgeous in the sun, but it would be frustrating to pay so much money on a polish that has zero staying power. :(

    1. I wonder if my disappointment is greater because I had such high hopes for this one. Thanks Jen :)

  3. Wow such a shame. I find RBL polishes stunning but with that I don't know if I still want to buy one.

  4. Aw, sorry RBL didn't work for you. Better for your budget, though, I suppose. :)
