Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Unicorn Tears

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Unicorn Tears
Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Unicorn Tears

Hey all!  Happy Monday to you.  Quickie post for you today.  When I decided to wear Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Unicorn Tears I couldn't decide if I wanted it over black or purple.  So I picked both.  I used my go to black cream, Finger Paints Black Expressionism and the purple is Sation Super Natural Powers.  I used one coat of Unicorn Tears on all nails and topped them with a quick dry top coat.  Easy peasy!

By the way, I thought this would be a pain to remove and it wasn't.  I just came right off.  Thanks for stopping by today and reading!

Until next time...

NailNation 3000 Stay Off the Grass

*Purchased by me*

It's Friday!  It's Friday!  It's Friday!  I'm doing my happy dance because it's Friday!  Okay I'm done now.  Today I have a gorgeous holo mani for you.  This is NailNation 3000 Stay Off the Grass with a Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Purple Reign accent.  The first coat of Stay Off the Grass was a little thin but the second coat made it perfect.  Maria of NailNation sure can make some great holos.

I'm loving this shade of purple as well.  I will definitely be wearing this as a full mani here soon.  Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Until next time...

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Jungle Green

*Purchased by me*

Hello!  A while back one of my favorite indie brands closed down so imagine my delight when they came back.  I was so excited to place an order.  I bought a couple of polishes during a great sale.  Today's polish is Jungle Green.  It's a pretty green with a soft holo effect.  The formula was a little difficult to work with.  I don't remember any of my old HPNL having this issue so I'm wondering if the base has changed or something.  It was pretty sheer but thick at the same time.  It took three coats and you can still kind of see my nail line.  I'm wondering if I should try to thin it.  That may help the thickness of it.  My accent nail is Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Pinkeye Nebula, an older one from before they closed down.

I need to pull out the few others I bought at the same time as Jungle Green and see how they are.  I'll let you guys know.  Have a great day!

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Sunset Over Sedona

Shade
Hi everyone!  Today I have a polish that I would have purchased for the name alone but ended up being a gorgeous polish too.  Mr. MLiP took me hiking in Sedona in the rain, many, many years ago and proposed.  Best hiking trip ever!  So when I saw Hit Polish was going to release a polish named Sunset Over Sedona I had to have it.  I decided to layer this over black because I really wanted to see the burgundy shimmer pop out.  The glitter combo just screams sunset over the Red Rocks.  This is two coats of Sunset Over Sedona over a black cream with topcoat.  Just like always the formula was perfect.

I really love this polish!  I actually am still wearing it as I type this.  I may have to pick up a full size of this one.  I've got some other layering combos in mind to try out.  It just makes me so happy that a sentimental purchase turned out to be a gorgeous polish.  If you'd like to check out Hit Polish for yourself click here and it'll go over to the shop's site.  I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Until next time...

*I purchased this polish (and if we're being honest, 4 others and a mystery box) with my very own money.  I had to clean at least two houses to make the money for this purchase.  Totally worth it!*

Bonus pic!  I can't find any of my Sedona pics so I took this one off the internet.  So pretty!

My Girlie Nails

Hey guys!  I recently went to a birthday party for a super cute 5 year old girl and just had to wear a super girlie mani.  I started with China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On, a gorgeous mint shimmer.  I used Zoya Julie for an accent nail.  Then I topped the whole thing off with a coat of Hit Polish Pretty in Paisley.  I loved this mani so so much.  It was perfect for the occasion.

Sorry for the super short post but it was this or not post at all.  What polish do you wear when you want something super girlie?

Until next time...

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Solar Flare

Press Sample

Hey everyone!  Today I have the third polish I recieved from Hit Polish Nail Lacquer to review.  I'd like you to meet Solar Flare, a clear base with red, gold and black glitters in multiple sizes and shapes.  I layered this over a black polish because I honestly couldn't think of another color to layer it over.  My ring finger is three coats with no base color so you can really see what this glitter looks like.  All the other nails have two coats over black plus topcoat.  The formula was exactly what I've come to expect from Hit Polish.  It was easy to use and all the glitter lays flat.

I like this color combo a lot.  I just need to come up with a better color to layer it over.  If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them.  If you'd like to check out all that Hit Polish Nail Lacquer has to offer click here to visit the shop and here to visit them on facebook.

Have a great day!

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Peachy Keen

Press Sample

Happy Monday lovelies!  Today I have another Hit Polish Nail Lacquer that I received for review.  I'd like you to meet Peachy Keen.  My photos are all of three coats and topcoat.  I actually wish I would have stopped at two coats.  Yes there is a bit of VNL but it gave me a really cool mannequin hands with glitter look.  This is really outside the normal realm of my polish choices but I totally loved the look it gave me.

The formula was very good.  I was expecting it to thicken up on me a bit while I was using it, between the three coats and the freaky humid weather here, but it did not at all.  Each coat applied very smoothly and the glitter laid flat.

If you'd like to pick up this lovely polish or one of the many other pretties from Hit Polish, click here.  You can also keep up to date with all the goings on by giving a like on facebook.  I hope you all enjoyed today's polish.  I have one more to show you later this week.

Until next time...

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer t.E.o.G. Nebula

Press Sample

Sun
Hello!  I have the coolest polish to show you guys tonight.  I've already scheduled my posts for the week but there is no way I could wait to show you guys this.  I received a few polishes from Hit Polish Nail Lacquer to review and I knew as soon as I opened the box that this was going to be a favorite.  This beauty is t.E.o.G Nebula (The Eye of God).  This polish has a teal shimmer base with glitters of different colors and shapes.  I have layered t.E.o.G over OPI Ski Teal We Drop on three nails and a black polish on my ring finger.  My pinky has two coats of t.E.o.G and all the other nails have one coat.  I think it's perfect for layering with just one coat.  There is plenty of glitter payoff and the teal shimmer is very visible.

I'm pretty sure you could get this polish opaque in three coats but I really wanted to conserve this beauty.  I intend to wear it lots!  I like this over the OPI more than over the black but wanted you to be able to see multiple options.  This polish will be available on July 27th at http://shop.hitpolish.com/.  You can find Hit Polish Nail Lacquer on facebook here.  Don't miss this one you guys, it's seriously cool.

Until next time...

Elevation Hig & Hit Polish Mirage

Sun
Good morning lovely readers!  Today I have two indie polishes for you that are a perfect match for each other.  I started with Elevation Polish Hig, a lovely teal metallic polish and then added an accent nail of Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Mirage, a neutral tan base with a variety of glitters including teal.  Mirage complimented Hig perfectly.  Both polishes were great quality.  Hig took three coats (I believe, I know, I'm a bad blogger) and Mirage took two.

Shade
Aren't these two just perfect together?  I don't know that I could wear Mirage as a full mani just because I'm not a huge neutral wearer but I have many polishes that it will compliment nicely.

Until next time...

Sara

*I bought both these polishes myself.  You all know of my love affair with Hit Polish so I won't tell you all about it again.  Just kidding yes I will.  Hit Polish is awesome and you should all go get some.*

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Review

Press Sample

Sun

Good morning!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.  Here in the Phoenix area we had a hot weekend.  On Sunday my ac couldn't even keep up.  All day long it was a few degrees warmer in the house than I had the thermostat set at.  Anyway today I have pictures of two new polishes from Hit Polish Nail Lacquer that will be coming out July 15th.  First up is Jammin Good Time.  This polish has a clear base with pink and blue glitters in a variety of shapes and sizes with small silver glitter.  This is only one coat layered over Zoya Carey.  I'm amazed at how much glitter is on my nails with just one coat.  This is exactly the kind of polish quality I've come to expect from Hit Polish.  All photos show one coat of Gelous and topcoat over each polish.

The second polish I have for you today is Steampunk Revival.  This polish is a clear base with gold, copper and blue glitters in many different shapes and sizes.  It also has crescent moons and stars in it.  I layered one coat over China Glaze That's Shore Bright.  With one layer I got one moon out.  I did have to fish around a bit for the other moon and the star.  I love this color combo and can picture it layered over so many other colors.

I've told you guys before that Hit Polish Nail Lacquer is formerly D&R Apothecary, so this is not a new brand but more of a rebranding.  I was sent these polishes for review but have spent plenty of my own money on polishes from Hit Polish before.  The quality of these polishes is really good.  The glitters lay flat and you get plenty of glitter with each coat.  Be sure to check out Hit Polish Nail Lacquer's etsy shop, click here, on July 15th for these and so many other pretty new polishes.  You can stay up to date on sales and new polishes by giving her a like on facebook, here.  Hit Polish's rebranding means that she had to start over on her facebook page.  Can you all do me a favor and help get her likes up?  Pretty please with a sparkly polish on top?

I hope you all have a fabulous day!

Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Superman

Hey everyone!  I'm sitting here enjoying some peace and quiet because everyone's in bed so I thought I'd write up a post.  Tonight I have Hit Polish Nail Lacquer Superman for you to enjoy.  I know the bottle says D&R Apothecary but that is this brands old name.  Superman is a blue jelly with red, blue and yellow glitters in it.  I think you'd be able to get it opaque in a few coats but I didn't want to wear that much glitter so I layered two coats over OPI No Room for the Blues.  This was a fun mani to wear.  I kept checking out my nails.

Okay so I've shown you Kryptonite and now Superman, both from Hit Polish Nail Lacquer.  Which one is your favorite?  I don't know that I can pick.  I love them both.  Check out Hit Polish on etsy here and on facebook here.  Have a great night and I'll talk with you soon.

*I bought this polish myself.  I was smart and got a full size, unlike Kryptonite when I only got a mini.*

Zoya Josie & Hit Polish Kryptonite

zoya josie
Sun

Happy Sunday!  Today I have Zoya Josie from the new summer collection.  Josie is a dusty grass green cream that has the most wonderful formula.  It's exactly what you'd expect from Zoya.  Two coats and it looked perfect.  My accent nail is Hit Polish Nail Lacquer (formerly D&R Apothecary) Kryptonite, a gray jelly base with green and gray glitter, layered over China Glaze Recycle.  I only bought the mini of Kryptonite (what was I thinking?) so I layered it to conserve.  This is my favorite mani of the last few weeks for sure.

Shade
So what do you think?  Before ordering Kryptonite I wouldn't have paired these two colors but now I'm kinda obsessed with green and gray.  If you'd like to check out Hit Polish Nail Lacquer for yourself click here for the etsy shop and here for her facebook page.

Have a great day!

Sara

*I bought both these polishes myself.  I couldn't pass up Zoya's Earth Day promo and Hit Polishes just have this weird way of jumping into my online cart and flying home to me.*
