A Rica Pairing
Hey all! Today I have a fun combo featuring Rica polishes. I started with a base of Rica Oh Gnomie, You Didn't and then added a layer of Rica If These Narwhals Could Talk. Gnomie has a great formula. It applied easy and had the perfect consistency. Narwhals was a bit trickier. I had to put on a coat and then dab on a bit more as it was a bit sparse at one coat.
Gnomie came from the July GNOME box that is a collaboration between Rica and Stardust polish. Sometimes I really enjoy wearing a nice soft colored mani. Thanks for stopping by!

Rica makes such great quality polishes. I know that when I order I'm getting a quality product with the fastest shipping I've ever come across in the indie world. By the way sorry for the nubby nails but I lost a few camping last weekend so I had to chop them all. It's okay though because I'm a shorty nail kinda girl.
Have a great night!

Rica Go Big Or Go Home
Rica Go Big or Go Home |
Hello! I have a couple pretty Rica polishes to show you all today. So lets start with the gorgeous blue holo shall we? This is two coats of Go Big or Go Gnome. Totally flawless application. Pretty much what you expect from a Rica polish. This is from the GNOME box that Rica and Stardust put out monthly. I had missed this one but a lovely lady I know was kind enough to give it to me. The accent nail is three coats of Big Daddy Always Said from the Golden Girls collection.
Rica Go Big or Go Home |
I'm a little gnome obsessed. I have them around my house. So these GNOME polishes are something I look forward to every month.
Until next time...

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review
*Stamping Plate was provided for review*
Hey all! I have a review of Born Pretty Store stamping plate, BP56. It's a cute plate with flower designs. I just used a few random sections of the plate to stamp. My index and pinky were stamped with Rica Pinky Promise. It worked great! The middle nails were stamped with a Color Club holo (sorry the label fell off and I don't know which one it was). This looked great in person but didn't transfer well to the photos. This plate worked really well. No issues to report at all.
Born Pretty Store has a ton of great nail art items, click here to check it out. Remember to use code FEMJ61 to save 10% on regular priced items. Thanks for stopping by today!

Stardust Polish The Gnome Files
Stardust Polish The Gnome Files |
Hello! I have a quickie post for you today. Each month Stardust and Rica get together and put out the GNOME box. It's two polishes with fun gnome names. Sometimes there's an extra. This particular month's was a sample size cuticle balm from Stardust. Stardust The Gnome Files is a gorgeous purple holo, perfect in two coats. My accent nail is Rica Sherlock Gnomes, four coats. I will layer Sherlock Gnomes next time over a white for sure.

I hope you liked today's polishes. Have a great day!

Baseball Nails!
Hey all! I have some quick, fun baseball nails for you today. My 11 yr old recently joined a club baseball team. He had one practice last week then they played a double header. He jumped right in with both feet and did great. I'm super proud! Anyhow, I decided to do baseball nails in the teams colors. I probably should have used a dark gray as opposed to the black but I couldn't find the one I wanted. A helmer reorganization may be in order.
Today I used OPI 4 in the Morning, a cool matte black that I top coated, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Cherry Red and Rica Whiteout. The baseball stitches are from Make it Stick on etsy. I probably should have put them down a bit lower since they aren't long enough to go all the way down my nails.
I will definitely be using the stitches again. I wonder how many manis I can come up with in this color scheme. Pretty sure this is the only red cream polish I own. Thanks for stopping by and reading today!
Until next time...

I'm Baaaack!
Hey guys! Sorry I've been gone for so long. It's been a little nuts around here. Out of town visitors, family issues, you know...LIFE! Hopefully I'll be back to posting regularly now. Just a quick post about today's mani. I started with two coats of Joe Fresh Persian Blue. The formula was so fantastic. Then I added one coat of Rica Unicorn Dandruff. I felt like wearing glitter today but not being super shiny so this was a good compromise. Unicorn Dandruff was a bit sparse when I put it on. It was kind of base heavy and I would have preferred a bit more glitter with each coat. What I love though is I don't have any bubbles in my mani. I find sometimes that base heavy glitter toppers like to leave bubbles behind but this one did not.
Have a great night! Thanks for stopping by.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review
*Press Sample*
Hey guys! I have a quick review of a Born Pretty Store stamping plate for you today. I started with a base of Essie Mojito Madness and stamped an image from plate QA87 using Rica Gloomy Sunday. I didn't have any issues with this plate. I stamped several of the images on a piece of paper and they all picked up very well.
I love gray and green together but this mani was hard to photograph. The gray was much easier to see in person. Born Pretty Store has a ton of great nail art products. Click here to see the plate I used. Also, don't forget to use code FEMJ61 to save 10% on regular priced purchases.
Have a great day!

China Glaze But of Corpse
China Glaze But of Corpse |
Good morning! I have some quick and easy Halloween nails for you today. I started with China Glaze But of Corpse, a green with black glitter. It dries to a texture finish but it's not overwhelming so I was able to handle it. I used two coats, a layer of Gelous and a quick dry top coat. My accent nail is Finger Paints Black Expressionism, an easy one coat black, and stamped with Rica Whiteout.

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review
*Press Sample*
Hello! I have a stamping plate review for you today. The plate was sent for review from Born Pretty Store. I used an image off plate W-10. My squishy stamper fell apart when I first tried this mani so I had to use my double ended Konad stamper. I think this plate was very good. The images picked up and were complete.
I used Rica Sugar Plum Wings to stamp on Barielle Moda Bleu. I ended up wearing this mani for a few days because I liked it way more than I was anticipating. Born Pretty has tons of inexpensive, neat nail art products. If you click here it will take you right to the plate I used. Don't forget code FEMJ61 will save you 10% on your regular priced purchases.

Lacquer by Lissa Halloween Decals
*Press Sample*
Okay so I know it's not even October yet but I really wanted to show you guys these awesome decals now so you'd have plenty of time to get some before Halloween. I did a quick cling wrap mani using Rica Whiteout, Zoya Mira and China Glaze Recycle. Then I put on an assortment of Halloween decals from Lacquer by Lissa. I love the witch but the jack o lanterns are my favorite! Just like the other decals I showed you these were super easy to use. I used tweezers to pick them of the backing and place them on the nail. Sealed it all up with top coat and I was good to go for a few days.
So what do you think? Are you ready for Halloween manis? I know I'm ready for Halloween candy! Head on over to the Lacquer by Lissa shop and pick up some Halloween decals. Follow along on facebook to keep up to date on all the latest information. I'm sure you will be seeing these decals again as it gets closer to Halloween. I want to try them out with a glow in the dark polish. Have a great night!

Rica The Gnome Made Me Do It
*Purchased by me*
Hello! Every now and again a polish comes along that makes me swoon. Today I have one of those polishes to show you. This is Rica The Gnome Made Me Do It. Rica does a collaboration box with Stardust polish each month and this polish is from the very first month. I was in the process of buying the box when I got cart-jacked. I hate missing out on pretty polishes especially when they are gnome related! Luckily a lovely lady in one of my nail groups offered to sell me hers when she heard I missed out. Yay!
This is two coats plus top coat for photos. One coat of The Gnome Made Me Do It was almost perfect. I added a quick gradient to some accent nails using Color Club Pinky Swear. I just love the little teal bits in Pinky Swear.
I wish I could show you all this mani in person. SO much better! Head over to Rica's shop and check out all the cool polishes. If you stamp be sure to check out the stamping line. It's phenomenal. Have a great night everyone!

Born Pretty Store Stamper Review
*Press Sample*
Hello! Today I have a review of a stamper from Born Pretty Store. The stamper was sent for review. I purchased all the polishes and plates used today. The stamper is a rectangular, which I love. It's not as hard as my konad stamper but not anywhere as squishy as my xl stamper. I used two of Rica's stamping polishes, light purple and pink. As you can see I have some incomplete images on my nails. Two things caused this, one, you have to roll the stamper across the nail. Just pressing straight down didn't work like it does with my squishy stamper. Second, the stamper was having trouble picking up full images. You can see that most of my images are missing the very edge. No matter what I tried I couldn't get nice crisp edges.
I'm not ready to give up on this rectangle stamper. I really want it to work for me. So I'm going to keep practicing and see if it's me or the stamper. Born Pretty has a ton of different nail art items. Click here to check out the shop and here to go right to the stamper. The code FEMJ61 will save you 10% on regular priced items. Birthday Nails!
*Purchased by me*
This makes me want to stamp everything. I'm not the biggest fan of the Color Club holos on there own but they are amazing for stamping. I need to go pick up some more. Rica makes some great polishes you guys and has the fastest shipping I've come across in the indie world. Check out the etsy shop here and facebook here. Have a great night!

Hey all! Yesterday was my birthday and these are the nails I decided on for it. I'm so in love with the birthday mani. I started with Rica Shipwrecked Siren. I used three coats. It looked pretty good at two but the third one just added a great depth to it. If I was a good blogger I would have taken a picture of just Shipwrecked Siren but well I'm me and I didn't remember. Then I used Mash plate 40 and Color Club Halo-graphic to stamp over top. Halo-graphic stamps like a dream! This is also the first time I managed stamp full nail designs on 9 out of 10 nails.
This makes me want to stamp everything. I'm not the biggest fan of the Color Club holos on there own but they are amazing for stamping. I need to go pick up some more. Pretty Stamped Mani
*Purchased by me*
Hey guys! When the OPI Sheer Tints first came out I was convinced I didn't need them. Then someone posted a mani similar to this and I fell in love. So much love that I ran to ebay and purchased the mini set. So let me give you the run down. I started out with a coat of my favorite one coat black, FingerPaints Black Expressionism. I used Glossy Glam to get it dry. Once it was dry I stamped using my new favorite white polish, Rica Whiteout. It's an amazing stamping polish but the best part is it's a one coat white. Yep you read that right. A one coat white! I let the stamping dry (although not long enough as you can see some smearing), then used the Sheer Tints in random swipes on my nails. Kind of giving it a water color look. Then I top coated the whole thing with Glossy Glam.
So I'm obviously not a perfect stamper but I'm getting better. A cashier asked me if I got my nails done when I had this on the other day and I proudly told her that I did them myself. I don't think she believed me haha! Have you tried out the Sheer Tints yet? I'd love to see what you've come up with. Feel free to drop a photo by my facebook page. Oh and don't forget to enter my giveaway!!

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things Giveaway
Hello! It's been forever since I've done a giveaway so I've been collecting things for the last couple of weeks. Everything I've picked out is one of my favorite things. These were all purchased by me except for Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer 2014. Julie was awesome and sent that along when I ordered the other polish from her last restock. Let me show you what you can win. Sorry folks but this is US only. It's so costly mail things internationally.
Starting on the left we have a mini China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise. Now I now it doesn't really look like a mini but it is. My camera did something really weird to this picture and it's dark now so I can't redo it. Next is Rica Bottled Unicorn Fart, which I showed you here. Next up is my favorite polish that has been release so far this year, Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Sordid End. Next to that is BEGL 2014. You can see Sordid End here and 2014 here. The last polish is Nail Nation 3000 Hollywood Nights. This polish is exclusive to a local beauty supply shop so I knew I had to throw it in. I've been loving on some Nail Nation polishes lately.
Next lets take a look at the non polish items.
Good luck!!

Rica Bottled Unicorn Fart
*Purchased by me*
Hello! I have a fun polish to show you today. This super cool glitter is Rica Bottled Unicorn Fart, fun neon glitters in a clear base. I started with a base mani of Sation Tardy Tart and Zoya Rocky on the accent nail. Then I did a quick (and if you look at my middle finger, unsuccessful) gradient, using the brush of the polish. The glitter laid flat and was smoothed out with a layer of Glossy Glam, Rica's quick dry top coat. It was a bit overcast when I took these photos so no direct sun shot today.
One of my favorite things about the Rica brand is if it's for sale in the shop then it is ready to ship right then. Every time I've ordered anything from Rica it's been shipped the next day. You can click here to check out the shop. Be sure to take a look at Glossy Glam while you're there. It's an awesome topcoat. You can find Rica on facebook as well. I hope you all have a fantastic day!
