*Purchased by me*
Hello! Every now and again a polish comes along that makes me swoon. Today I have one of those polishes to show you. This is Rica The Gnome Made Me Do It. Rica does a collaboration box with Stardust polish each month and this polish is from the very first month. I was in the process of buying the box when I got cart-jacked. I hate missing out on pretty polishes especially when they are gnome related! Luckily a lovely lady in one of my nail groups offered to sell me hers when she heard I missed out. Yay!
This is two coats plus top coat for photos. One coat of The Gnome Made Me Do It was almost perfect. I added a quick gradient to some accent nails using Color Club Pinky Swear. I just love the little teal bits in Pinky Swear.
I wish I could show you all this mani in person. SO much better! Head over to Rica's shop and check out all the cool polishes. If you stamp be sure to check out the stamping line. It's phenomenal. Have a great night everyone!
Until next time...

I Believe That We Will Win
Hello! Anyone else living in a house that has World Cup fever? My husband and oldest son love soccer. We've watched just about every match so far. I'm sure my boys will run around all day tomorrow singing I Believe That We Will Win at the top of their lungs. I do admit to watching today's France/Nigeria match while on the treadmill because these guys have awesome legs and mad skills. So let me give you the polish run down here so we can move on to the bubble issues. My base is OPI No Room For the Blues, one of my favorite blues. Then I used Salon Perfect Save Me a Spot, the large circles, and Boom Boom Boom, the smaller hexes. First I have to say that I love this idea. The problem was the thickness and quantity of the base. Especially Save Me a Spot. Holy cow it was so thick! I had to pick the circles out of the bottle and place them on the nail which caused to much base to glob on my nails.
I top coated it all and it dried pretty quick so that was a positive. I was given some advice on how to apply glitters like this using a make up sponge that is supposed to help minimize the bubbles. Did any of you have any better luck with these polishes?
Until next time...GO USA!!!!

Rica Bottled Unicorn Fart
*Purchased by me*
Hello! I have a fun polish to show you today. This super cool glitter is Rica Bottled Unicorn Fart, fun neon glitters in a clear base. I started with a base mani of Sation Tardy Tart and Zoya Rocky on the accent nail. Then I did a quick (and if you look at my middle finger, unsuccessful) gradient, using the brush of the polish. The glitter laid flat and was smoothed out with a layer of Glossy Glam, Rica's quick dry top coat. It was a bit overcast when I took these photos so no direct sun shot today.
One of my favorite things about the Rica brand is if it's for sale in the shop then it is ready to ship right then. Every time I've ordered anything from Rica it's been shipped the next day. You can click here to check out the shop. Be sure to take a look at Glossy Glam while you're there. It's an awesome topcoat. You can find Rica on facebook as well. I hope you all have a fantastic day!
Until next time...

Nicole by OPI I'll Be At The Pool
*Purchased by me*
Hey all! Do you ever come across polishes that just scream "Wear me together!"? I picked up Nicole by OPI I'll Be At The Pool for cheap at TJ Maxx. Blue, glass flecky goodness? Yes please! Shortly after I was at Walmart (because it's the only place I can buy these crackers that I'm addicted too) and came across Salon Perfect Touchy Feely. I immediately knew it needed to be worn with the NOPI. I'll Be At The Pool is two coats with topcoat and then I added a little gradient of sorts using Touchy Feely. Pure love I tell ya!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Flash Forward Fantasy
*Purchased by me
Hey guys! How is everyone? If you've been with me a while then you know that I don't do neutrals. I'm of the mindset that if I'm going to paint my nails they should be fun, happy colors. I'm fortunate that I don't have a job that my nails matter. I can do whatever I want with them. That being said I decided to take a giant leap outside of my comfort zone with a gorgeous neutral polish from what is fast becoming my favorite indie brand. This is Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Flash Forward Fantasy. I used three coats for opacity. The formula is on the thicker side but it is very easy to control and apply. It dries to a matte finish. I added a quick and dirty gradient using Milani Sugar High and it was instant love. I'm so in love with this mani! It will definitely become my go to "neutral" nail look. A layer of topcoat made it all nice and shiny.
You should head on over to facebook and give BEGL a like so you can keep up to date on all the pretty polishes. Have a great night guys!
Until next time...

Major Nail Fail
Hey all! Earlier this week I promised you a look at my gradient gone wrong. In my head this mani was gorgeous. On my nails, not so much. I started with China Glaze Glistening Snow. Such an amazing polish all on it's own. Then I used China Glaze Put a Bow On It to do a quick gradient. I really thought this would work since Bow is a micro glitter with a clear base but oh no. Instead it looks like I'm bleeding from my cuticles. Oh well! Two pretty polishes that just shouldn't be worn this way. Next time I'll just do an accent nail.
I hope you all have a great Friday. Until next time...
Sara
