NYC Midnight Beauty Collection (partial) Review

*Press Sample*

Hello!  Today I have two polishes from the New York Color (NYC) Midnight Beauty Collection.  First up is Animal Instinct.  This is a gorgeous orange shimmer polish.  I used three coats and top coat for today's pictures.  The formula on this one was kind of a pain.  It was still streaky after two coats but the polish was thickening up on me while I was tying to apply it.  That said I'm in love with the color.  It was nice and bright.

Next up is Rock Muse, a Smokey Top Coat, a black jelly base with different sized silver glitters.  Since this is a jelly base and I'm not a huge fan of visible nail line I started with a black cream then applied two coats of Rock Muse.  This has great glitter payoff and was super easy to work with.  Since this is a great Halloween polish I added a jack 'o lantern decal from Lacquer by Lissa.

NYC is found a drug stores and large retailers.  This collection is available now.  These are great Halloween polishes that can definitely be worn year round.

Until next time...

New York Color (NYC) Review

*Press Sample*

Hey all!  I have three polishes from the New York Color (NYC) Fashion Queen Collection.  I have to say the more I try this brand the more I fall in love with it.  These are great polishes (wish I had the whole collection) at a fabulous price.  So lets dive right in.

First up is Blue Majesty.  This is hands down my favorite.  The pictures don't even do it justice.  I used three coats and top coat to give this polish a great depth.  All that said this polish stained so very bad.  I don't usually get much staining at all.  Maybe because I use Nail Envy and a base coat, who knows.  I'd wear it again though.  It's that pretty.

Next up is Rule the City.  This is a cool polish.  It has specks of red in the grey glitter base.  It was perfect in two coats and super smooth with top coat.

Finally we have NY Princess, a purple version of the blue above.  Again I used three coats and top coat.  I had no staining with this one.  Sorry about the different nail length.  I had a break in between wearing these.

I don't see NYC around here too often but I'm going to see if I can track down a few more of these.  To find these polishes near you head over to newyorkcolor.com.

Have a great night!

New York Color Polish Review

*Press Sample*

Good morning!  Today I have a review of three shades from the In A New York Color Minute Quick Dry Nail Polish line.  Wow that's a mouthful haha!  These polishes retail for $1.99 and I have to say at that price point they are so worth it.  All three polishes are shown with two coats and no topcoat.  Each polish also has a sun picture and shade picture.

First up is Jacaranda Flower, a gorgeous purple cream.  My dad has a jacaranda tree in his front yard and when it flowers they are exactly this color.  Love it!  The first coat went on a little streaky and almost jelly like.  The second coat evened it out nicely.

This pretty coral cream is Tropicoral.  It had an awesome formula!  Even and smooth.

Lastly I have the most perfect green, Palm on the Beach.  The formula on this one was somewhere in between the other two in terms of quality.  Definitely took two full coats to even out.

I went without my normal quick dry top coat since these are quick dry polishes.  They did dry pretty quickly, not Seche Vite quickly but still pretty good.  You can find New York Color polishes at drugstores or check out newyorkcolor.com.  Have a great day!

Until next time...
