LA Girl Electric Coral

Good morning!  Today I have LA Girl Electric Coral for you.  When I went to San Diego in May I dragged my poor family into a bunch of Rite Aids since we don't have them here and this is one of the many polishes I bought.  Electric Coral is a orange jelly with glitter and some holo sparkle.  I was surprised by how easy to use this formula is.  Jellys and I don't always get along so I was expecting some trouble.  This is three coats for opacity with topcoat on top.  Bonus is this polish was so easy to remove.  No scrubbing at the glitter or foil or anything.

If you look at the blurry nails in this photo you can see some of the holo sparkle.  Overall this polish was a major win for me.  Can't wait to try the other colors I have.  I hope you all have an awesome day!

Zoya Amy

Sun

Good afternoon lovlies!  Quick post for you today as I'm busy stressing out over my husbands car not starting yesterday.  This is Zoya Amy from their new summer collection.  This is a great bright orange filled with gold shimmer.  I love a good foil finish.  After glass fleck finishes, foil is my next favorite.  Honestly these are very glass fleck like.  This is two coats of Amy and topcoat.  It has a good formula just like you'd expect from Zoya.

Shade
Amy is bright, colorful and sparkly.  Perfect for summer.  I don't own another polish that looks like this.  China Glaze Riveting is probably the closest.  Are you an orange wearer or is it just not for you?

Have a great day!

*I'm very proud of the restraint I showed in waiting to pick this up from Zoya's Earth Day sale using Mr. MLiP's money of course.*

Zoya Thandie

Hello!  Today I have a Zoya polish that I almost passed up on thinking it was just another orange.  I'm happy to say that I went ahead and got it (obviously) and it's not just any old orange.  This beauty is Zoya Thandie from the new summer collection.  Thandie is a gorgeous creamy orange that dries slightly darker than in the bottle.  It's a very nice bright color without being a neon.  This is three coats of Thandie with topcoat.  My accent nail is Above the Curve Sunset Skies, an orange jelly base with glitters in it.

I'm quite in love with this orange.  It's just so lovely.  Have you picked up any polishes lately that you were undecided on but ended up loving?  I hope you all have a lovely Thursday.  I'm off to go watch my sisters graduate high school tonight.  Sadly they are at two different schools so our family had to split up between the two grad ceremonies.

*I purchased this polish myself during the Zoya Earth Day promo.  I needed a sixth polish to complete my order and Thandie was it.*

Zoya Arizona & Elemental Styles Neon Lights

Sun
Hello!  How was everyone's Tuesday?  Today I have a bright, summery mani for you.  This is three coats of Zoya Arizona and two-ish coats of Elemental Styles Neon Lights, over Arizona, as an accent.  These polishes were made for each other.  Not gonna lie, Arizona, was a hot streaky mess for the first two coats.  The third evened it out pretty well but I still think I can see a bit of VNL.  The color is so cool though.  I honestly don't own another orange quite like it.  Neon Lights is a mix of yellow and pink matte glitters. The effect is that it looks very orange.  I used one coat of Gelous and then one coat of HK Girl topcoat to smooth it out.  You can check out the Elemental Styles etsy shop here.  Whitney makes great polishes and has fantastic customer service.

So have you started to transition into fall nail colors yet or are you still holding on to summer?  I live in AZ so it's sunny all the time here.  It'll be a while before I am regularly pulling out the fall colors.

Have a great night,
Sara

Rainbow Favorites: Orange

Happy Monday!  Today in the Rainbow Favorites challenge is orange.  I have a lot more oranges than I do reds, so I had a few more to choose from.  This is China Glaze Orange Marmalade.  It's pretty thin and this is three coats.  The sun picture shows a bunch of VNL but in real life it didn't look that bad.

I just love the shiny, juiciness of it so much.  So what is your all time favorite orange polish?  Have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow with yellow.  Below is a list of all the blogs participating.

Zoya Annie & Cult Nails Captivated

Sun

Hello!  Todays manicure was picked out by my 9 year old son.  He selected Zoya Annie with an accent nail of Cult Nails Captivated.  He also insisted that the accent be on my pointer finger.  I love, love these polishes together.  This is two coats of Zoya Annie, a gorgeous orange red.  Perfect formula like usual.  They I put on coat of Captivated on my accent nail.  These just compliment each other so well.  I should let my son pick my colors more often.

Cult Nails Captivated has a dupe that is made by Icing.  I have one brand new bottle of Icing Tiger's Blood that I would like to give away to one of my readers.  Just drop me a comment on this post and let me know what your favorite Cult Nails polish is.  If you have a favorite Icing polish I'd love to hear that too.  Be sure to leave me your email so I can contact you if you win.  If you aren't comfortable leaving your email in the comments go ahead and email me your info.  Giveaway will run for one week.  Good luck and I'll talk with you soon.

Bettina Hippie

Know what happens when you let a 4yr old pick out your nail color? You get the brightest, sparkliest orange he could find. Bettina Hippie was the color he picked for me. This color is from the Bettina Disco collection. I really love this whole collection. What I didn't care for was the four coats this took to be somewhat opaque. Even at four coats it still wore really well. Took a few days before it started to chip. The above photo is in full sun and the bottom photos are in the shade.

I'm really starting to love Bettina. I may have to do another order from them soon.

Take care,
Sara

China Glaze Riveting

Of all the the Hunger Games polishes I picked up, Riveting is hands down my favorite. Holy glowing orange nail polish! My husband saw it and said "Holy crap that's bright!" Normally he only notices my polish when I shove it under his nose. This is three coats of Riveting. In the pictures you can see some visible nail line but it wasn't really apparent in real life. I absolutely love this polish. I think it'll be a great pedi color this summer.

So are you an orange polish lover? What is your favorite orange? China Glaze Riveting and Zoya Tanzy are at the top of my list.

Hope you are having a great day!
