Hey guys! I have a quickie Halloween nails post for you today. I started out with Zoya Serenity and then did a 30 second gradient with Salon Perfect Wicked. I had to run out to pick my son up from the bus stop and had to slap it on super quick. The pumpkin is a nail vinyl but I can't remember where it's from. Sorry about that.
I'd love to see your Halloween nails too. Feel free to drop a photo by my facebook page.
Until next time...

SinfulColors Having A Blast Review (Partial)
*Press Sample*
Hey guys! I have some fun polishes today from the SinfulColors Having A Blast collection. I'm going to start with my favorite combo of polishes. I plan on recreating this first mani for the 4th of July. I just love it so much. I started with two coats of Hot Spot, a pretty metallic blue. The accent nail is two coats of Snow Me White and once that was dry I used some straight Nail Vinyls to make the stripes. I used Ruby Ruby for the red. Then to top it all off I added a coat of Star Blast Off, a super cool patriotic glitter with large stars. The stars came out pretty easily, no fishing required.
Here's the same mani before I added the glitter so you can really see the blue.
Next I used two coats of Ruby Ruby with an accent of Out of This World. I totally thought Ruby Ruby was a red cream when I put it on. I was adding top coat and I started to see some sparkles. I thought my top coat brush had glitter on it and was super upset that it was contaminating my polish. Turns out Ruby Ruby has a bit of sparkle and I'm just not very observant apparently. Anyhow, then I added some stars using Nail Vinyls and Hot Spot. Very pleased with this simple 4th of July mani.
This next polish is Green Ocean. I know this is a much loved polish for a lot of people. I originally put it over white and oh boy was that terrible! I took it right off. So then I decided to put it over a black cream and a dark teal (OPI Ski Teal We Drop). I am completely obsessed with how it looks over the teal. I think it would be really cool to matte it but I couldn't find my matte top coat.
I hope you guys like today's manis. I want to say that Snow Me White was a great two coat white polish. I will be using that again for sure. I've seen these polishes at several Walgreens around here. You can find more information at sinfulcolors.com. Be sure to give them a like on facebook too. I hope you all have a great day!
Until next time...

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Void Stuff
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Void Stuff |
Hey all! I know I've shown you this before but I wore it again and just couldn't resist showing it off for a second time. This is two coats of Void Stuff and and accent nail of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer She's Electricity. I used some Nail Vinyls to add a nail art flare. Haha that's about as flare as I get.

Color Club Concrete Jungle
*Purchased by me*
Hey all! Quickie post for you today. This is Color Club Concrete Jungle layered over Zoya Tao. Concrete Jungle is a top coat and is just perfect over the gray polish. This is just one coat. The coverage was very even and smooth. I used a couple of nail vinyls to make the pattern.
This one was hard to photograph especially in the sun. I hope you guys liked today's mani. Thanks for stopping by and reading.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Review
*Press Sample*
Hey all! I have a quick Halloween colored mani for you tonight. I received the new Halloween colors from Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for review. These three just begged to be worn together. I started with a base of OMGhost, a great white that was opaque in two coats. I know Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White was a huge favorite for a lot of people and is discontinued but I think this would make a great replacement for that. After that was dry I used a chevron pattern from Nail Vinyls down the middle. The orange is Pumpkin Queen. It covered the white in one coat and is the perfect orange for Halloween. The black is Scaredy Matte. It also covered the white in one coat. I put topcoat just over the orange so the black would stay matte.
The formula on these was good. What I had issues with was the amount of polish on the big, flat brushes. The brushes give a lot of coverage but my nails are pretty curved and I struggle a bit with them. But that's just me and not a reflection on the polish. I've seen this collection in a few drugstores around here. So run out and get the white. And the orange!!
Have a great night!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Chlorine Light
*Purchased by me*
Hello! How is everyone's weekend so far? I spent my day mattress shopping with the husband and my boys. Ugh! Not sure what I was thinking taking the boys along. So let's get to why you are really here, the mani! This gorgeous is Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer (BEGL) Chlorine Light. It's a gorgeous blue holo with a fantastic two coat formula. It was pretty opaque with one coat so I bet you could stamp with it. I added an accent nail using Nail Vinyls and BEGL Dawn Breaks.
Luckily the sun was out for a while this morning so I got some great shots of this. Shortly after the clouds rolled in and we got some wicked storms. We've had some outrageous rain here in the desert the last few weeks. Like record setting rain totals. Here is the BEGL shop so you can get some pretty polishes of your own and here is the facebook page. Give BEGL a like. There is a super cute Halloween collection being released soon. I've been on a polish no buy recently but will break it for some of those.
Have a great night!

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Glory
*Purchased by me*
Hey guys! Happy 4th of July to all my US readers! Happy Friday for everyone else. For today's mani I used Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Glory, the most gorgeous shimmery blue. The formula on this one is a bit thick but it's very pigmented and was easy to apply. I'd rather have a polish on the thick side than runny and a pain to apply honestly. I used two coats and top coat and I was good to go. Since this is a 4th of July mani I just had to add something. I used star decals from Nail Vinyls and a holo top coat from Polish Addict Nail Color to add the stars to this mani.
Glory is no longer available but I just got some awesome blogger mail from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer. This summer collection is to die for. So head on over to facebook and give BEGL a like so you can be ready for the summer collection. You can purchase BEGL here. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. Happy 4th of July!!!
Until next time...

Zach and Kelly
Hey guys! Today I have some silly fun to show you. A while back Wet n Wild did a Saved by the Bell collection. I loved that show so much! I never found a full display but I did manage to snag Chick Magnet Zack, the teal. You all know how much I love teal and this one is no exception. Two coats and it was perfect. My accent nail is Pom Pom Kelly. I was never able to find Kelly but a lovely polish friend sent it to me. Kelly took three coats and still wasn't great. The formula is typical of neons. I decided to add a heart using Zack and my Nail Vinyls. I kinda made a big old mess out of it all. Then to make matters worse I thought it was dry enough but when I put on my workout pants I squished the accent nail all up. Oh well, it's still a fun mani.

I hope you all really like this mani. Have a great day!

Hey all! I found this mani from forever ago in my photo files. I can't believe I forgot to share it. I started off with a base of KBShimmer Turbulence. It dries matte but I love it with topcoat. After that was dry I used a chevron strip from Nail Vinyls and used KBShimmer I'd Rather Be With Blue. These polishes were basically made to be worn together.
I hope you all really like this mani. Have a great day!

Cult Nails Nail of the Day
*Purchased by me*
Hello! Today's lovely mani is done with Cult Nails Casual Elegance and Winter's Light. Casual Elegance has the most outstanding formula. It was almost perfect in one coat. That's almost unheard of for pastel type colors. I used two coats with topcoat for my pictures. Next I used the mini chevrons from Nail Vinyls and put on two quick coats of Winter's Light, a gorgeous glitter polish that I can't wait to wear on it's own. My use of the chevrons wasn't perfect but honestly most people aren't as close to my nails as you guys are ;).

Zoya Dillon & Rebel
*Purchased by me*
Hello! Today I have combined two of the new Zoya spring collection polishes into one mani. I started with a base of Zoya Dillon, the green. I used two coats but if I hadn't been covering it up with another color I probably would have done three. Then I used a straight design from Nail Vinyls to mark off where I wanted to put Zoya Rebel, the blue. Since I didn't wear it on it's own I'm not sure on coats for Rebel but it did seem slightly more opaque than Dillon. I topped it all of with a quick dry topcoat, Glossy Glam, and this is the result. I had some polish try to pull up on my index finger just because I didn't wait long enough for it to dry before putting the sticker on it. I think the topcoat smoothed it out pretty well though.
I knew when Zoya first released bottle shots from this collection that I would need to pick these two up for sure. They are definitely my kind of colors. Did you snag any from that collection yet? What's your favorite?

Shimmer Polish Jenny
*Press Sample
Shade |
Hey everyone! Sorry for the sporadic posts lately. We are doing a huge home improvement project and I've been working a ton. My nails and cuticles are a hot mess. Hopefully once the new floors are in most of my house I will get back to normal here. Or whatever passes as normal around here. Today's mani is one coat of Shimmer Polish Jenny layered over China Glaze Tart-y For The Party. In my head I thought using a star cutout from Nail Vinyls would be so cute. In reality the star is a little distorted. Be honest here, if I hadn't said it was a star would you have been able to tell?

Venique Cleats Calling Four
Sun |
Hey all! Quickie post for you today. I was recently gifted my first bottle of Venique nail polish, Cleats Calling Four. This is the most amazing one coater teal polish. So much love for this. I started with a base color of Zoya Thandie. When that was dry enough I used Nail Vinyls chevron pattern and a coat of Cleats Calling Four to add the design.

Jessica Electric Teal
*Purchased by me*
Hello! Tonight I'd like to introduce you to my new favorite teal polish. That's right China Glaze Turned up Turquoise has been knocked down a notch buy Jessica Electric Teal. I put this on and seriously had no words. This is two coats plus topcoat. Look at that shimmery goodness! Now look at it again! It's so pretty. My accent nail is a base color of Essie Sunday Funday and then I used the lightening bolt shape from Nail Vinyls. Another coat of Electric Teal then topcoated it all. Super fun mani for sure. Both pictures were taken in the sun to show off all that shimmering goodness.
Are you a teal junkie like I am? If so what's your favorite teal polish? I hope you all have a great night.
Until next time...

NOTD by NailNation 3000
*All purchased by me.*
Hello! I'm super stoked to share this nail of the day. Mr. MLiP and I don't really do Valentines Day stuff but he bought himself something and told me to go buy myself something, so I did. I went to the nail supply shop and picked up three new NailNation polishes. Today I have two of them for you. The bright green is Like, Totally. It has a holo effect and took three coats to be opaque and even. The blue (although in a lot of light situations it looks gray) is In Memoriam. It is holo as well and covered in two coats. The formula on this one was a tad thick but nothing to hard to work with. I made the chevron pattern using the skinny skinny chevrons from Nail Vinyls. If you guys haven't heard of these or tried them out run and do it right now. So easy to use and they make nail art so easy.
So what do you think of this? Is two accent nails too much for you? This is probably one of my favorites ever. I'm loving the dark color with the super bright color. You can find NailNation on facebook here and Nail Vinyls here.
Until next time...

Polish Addict Nail Color Violets are Blue
Sun |
Hey all! Happy Valentines Day. So this is about as close to a Valentines theme mani as I'll get. I actually wore this mani last week for six days. That must be some sort of record. It honestly had very little chipping and tip wear for being worn that long. So today we have Polish Addict Nail Color (PANC) Violets are Blue with a Roses are Red accent nail. I used three coats of each polish plus topcoat. Best part of this pretty glitter polish? It's a thermal! My very first one. It is darker while cold then lightens up as it warms up. So freakin cool! I decided to add a heart using a red cream so I would have a Vday mani to post today. I used NailVinyls heart shape for the guide. They are the best, easiest way to make shapes or lines and what not.
