A Pretty Cling Wrap Mani

Hey all!  I love, love cling (saran, plastic) wrap manis.  It's nail art that I can actually do!  Today's mani is done with China Glaze Sweet Hook and Orly Decoded.  To do a cling wrap mani I start by painting on my base color and allowing it to dry a bit.  They I paint on the second color, in this case Decoded, and then I dab the plastic wrap on it.  I do this one finger at a time.  The best part is if you take too much of the second color off you can always add more, then dab again.  After that I let it dry a bit then topcoat it.  Easy peasy lemon squeezy :)

Have you tried a cling wrap mani before?  I'd love some color recommendations to try out.  Thanks for stopping by.

*I bought these polishes myself.  Every time I went to the supply store Sweet Hook called to me.  I finally gave in and brought the poor lonely polish home.*

Paris Sparkles Pink Cellophane

Sun

Hello!  I hope everyone is having a fabulous day.  Today I have a polish from a new to me indie called Paris Sparkles.  Last week Paris Sparkles was having a sale for bloggers and I jumped at the chance to try out a new indie.  Today's polish is Pink Cellophane and I have to say in the bottle it looks just like pink cellophane.  It's a shimmery, sheer pink with a slight green shimmer, iridescent small glitters and larger hex glitters.  To show off this cool polish I have two coats layered over Essie Mojito Madness and Sation Tardy Tart.  The formula of Pink Cellophane was really great.  Even coverage with each coat.  My only complaint is the larger hex glitters did not want to come out of the bottle.  I had to fish around for the few I got.  Other than that I love this combo so much, which is weird because it's so not me.

I tried to capture the green shimmer on the purple nail but it just didn't want to be shown.  I'm not in love with my photos of this but I took a ton and this was as good as it got.  You can check out Paris Sparkles on facebook here and on etsy here.  I hope you enjoyed this color combo.  Have a great day!

*I purchased this polish during a sale for bloggers.  The savings in no way influenced my opinions of this polish.  It just allowed me to buy more to show you.*

Butter London Two Fingered Salute

Hi everyone!  Sorry for the lack of posts the last few days.  It's been raining a ton here and I tweaked my back.  I've not been doing much at all.  Today's quickie post is Butter London Two Fingered Salute.  Every now and again a polish comes along that I just can't stop thinking about.  That's what happened with Two Fingered Salute.  I just kept obsessing over it until I finally broke down and ordered it.  It's a gorgeous sage green with copper glitter in it.  It looks like a beautiful patina.  Originally I used two coats and then topcoat.  Once I was done I realized I had some patchy spots so I added another coat and then topcoat again.  It was perfect after that.  I honestly own nothing else like it.  Nothing even close to it.  Both photos are in the sun because all the shade pictures have a wicked reflection of my house in them.  Sorry about that.

I'm in love with greens of this variety.  Does anyone know of a green like this but minus the copper?  I'd love to own one.  Thanks and I hope you all have a great day.

*Sshhh!  Don't tell Mr. MLiP he bought this polish for me.*

Lacquerhead Slumber Party

Shade

Good morning!  Today for your viewing pleasure I have Lacquerhead Polish Slumber Party layered over Zoya Malia.  Slumber Party is a glitter topper made up of white and purple holo glitters and fine purple glitter.  This is one coat of Slumber Party over two coats of Malia.  The application was flawless.  Lots of glitter and it applied very evenly.  No clumping up of the glitter on my nails.

So far every Lacquerhead polish I've tried has been great quality.  You can buy them on etsy.  I hope you all have a wonderful day.
