SinfulColors Having A Blast Review (Partial)

*Press Sample*

Hey guys!  I have some fun polishes today from the SinfulColors Having A Blast collection.  I'm going to start with my favorite combo of polishes.  I plan on recreating this first mani for the 4th of July.  I just love it so much.  I started with two coats of Hot Spot, a pretty metallic blue.  The accent nail is two coats of Snow Me White and once that was dry I used some straight Nail Vinyls to make the stripes.  I used Ruby Ruby for the red.  Then to top it all off I added a coat of Star Blast Off, a super cool patriotic glitter with large stars.  The stars came out pretty easily, no fishing required.

Here's the same mani before I added the glitter so you can really see the blue.

Next I used two coats of Ruby Ruby with an accent of Out of This World.  I totally thought Ruby Ruby was a red cream when I put it on.  I was adding top coat and I started to see some sparkles.  I thought my top coat brush had glitter on it and was super upset that it was contaminating my polish.  Turns out Ruby Ruby has a bit of sparkle and I'm just not very observant apparently.  Anyhow, then I added some stars using Nail Vinyls and Hot Spot.  Very pleased with this simple 4th of July mani.

This next polish is Green Ocean.  I know this is a much loved polish for a lot of people.  I originally put it over white and oh boy was that terrible!  I took it right off.  So then I decided to put it over a black cream and a dark teal (OPI Ski Teal We Drop).  I am completely obsessed with how it looks over the teal.  I think it would be really cool to matte it but I couldn't find my matte top coat.

I hope you guys like today's manis.  I want to say that Snow Me White was a great two coat white polish.  I will be using that again for sure.  I've seen these polishes at several Walgreens around here.  You can find more information at sinfulcolors.com.  Be sure to give them a like on facebook too.  I hope you all have a great day!

Until next time...

Sara

Hey all!  Today I have a new to me indie on the blog, Black Dahlia Lacquer.  Someone posted a photo of this polish in a facebook group and I just had to snag it.  This gorgeous green is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle which I believe was an LE.  This is two coats and top coat shown today.  This is just gorgeous!

I grabbed a few others when I got this and now I can't wait to try them out.  I'll be sure to share them as I do.

Have a great day!

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Review

*Press Sample*

Hey guys!  I have a review of four shades from the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Poolside Paradise collection.  Miracle Gel is an at home gel mani with no light needed.  It has a special top coat to use to give it that high shine finish.

First up is Lip Palm.  This had a great two coat formula.  It went on even and didn't run at all.

This is Life's a Peach.  This doesn't read peach to me at all.  It's very coral on me.  Either way it has the most awesome formula.  Two coats for perfection here.

Pink-A-Colada is a sheer, pale pink.  This is three coats and you can see I still have visible nail line.  This polish struck me as very job interview appropriate.

Lastly I have Morning Sunshine!  This is a lovely yellow.  It took three coats but that's pretty normal for yellow.

SinfulColors Street Fusion Collection (partial)

*Press Sample*

Hey all!!  I have six polishes from the SinfulColors Street Fusion Summer 2015 collection.  Based on the press release this is a large collection.  I'm not sure if the ones I have today are new polishes or repromotes.  I will say that I don't recall seeing these in the past.  I will also say that this first polish, Sky Tree, is my new favorite drug store polish.  So much teal goodness all in one polish.  It was amazingly perfect in two coats.  I used top coat for the photos.

This is one coat of Fuji Fuji over top of Sky Tree with top coat.  Fuji Fuji is a fun glitter topper.

Next up is Keira Blue.  I used three coats and top coat.  I struggled with this polish.  It had an interesting consistency, sort of thick but still pretty sheer.  It was shrinking back from my tips almost right away.

Otaku Anime is a gorgeous yellow shimmer (or maybe a metallic, I stink at finishes).  I used three coats and top coat.  I'm not normally a yellow wearer but this was just lovely.  I do think next time I wear it I'll start with a matching yellow cream and top it with this to get rid of the visible nail line.

Maroon Fine has a great two coat formula although it looks more rust colored than maroon to me.  Either way it's really pretty.

Last up is Pink Ansen, a sheer pink jelly with iridescent glitters in it.  I put this over black so we could see the glitters but then I lost the pink.  The effect is super cool though.  Next time I'll try it over a soft pink.
